Setup and Installation
The ZAFRO portable air conditioner is designed for easy setup. It can be installed in rooms with hung windows or sliding windows.
Unpacking and Initial Placement:
- Carefully remove the unit from its packaging.
- Place the unit upright on a flat, stable surface. It is recommended to leave the unit upright and unplugged for at least 24 hours after unboxing to allow the refrigerant oil to settle.
- Ensure there is at least 20 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.
Window Kit Installation:
The included window kit is adaptable for both sliding and double/single-hung windows.

- Assemble the window slider kit by connecting the panels to fit your window opening.
- Open the window and place the assembled window kit securely in the window frame. Close the window against the kit to hold it in place.
- Attach one end of the exhaust hose to the unit's exhaust port.
- Attach the other end of the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter.
- Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.

Operating Instructions
The ZAFRO portable air conditioner offers multiple operating modes and can be controlled via the digital display panel or the included remote control.
Control Panel Overview:

- POWER Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
- MODE Button: Cycles through Cool, Dry (Dehumidifier), and Fan modes.
- SPEED Button: Adjusts fan speed (High/Low).
- UP/DOWN Buttons: Adjusts temperature settings (62°F - 86°F / 17°C - 30°C) in Cool mode or sets timer.
- TIMER Button: Activates the 24-hour auto On/Off timer.
- SLEEP Mode: Engages quiet operation for nighttime use.

- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling for hot weather. Set desired temperature using UP/DOWN buttons.
- Dry (Dehumidifier) Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air, ideal for humid conditions. The fan speed is fixed in this mode.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling, suitable for general air circulation. Fan speed can be adjusted.

The air outlet louvers can be manually adjusted up and down to direct the airflow as needed.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ZAFRO portable air conditioner.
Cleaning the Air Filter:
The unit features a removable and washable double-layer air filter. It is highly recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks of operation for best performance.
- Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter under running water (warm, soapy water can be used if very dirty).
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Draining Water:
During dehumidification or cooling, water will accumulate inside the unit. The unit has a self-evaporative system, but in high humidity conditions, manual draining may be necessary.
- When the internal water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an indicator (e.g., "FL" or "Full").
- Unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit.
- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
Storage:
If storing the unit for an extended period:
- Ensure all water is drained from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cover the unit to protect it from dust.
