3. Setup
3.1 Power Supply
The THINKSCALE PS4C can be powered by either the included AAA batteries or the USB AC adapter.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote LCD display unit. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- AC Adapter Connection: Plug the USB AC adapter into a standard wall outlet and connect the small end to the power port on the remote LCD display unit.
The scale will automatically use AC power if connected, even with batteries installed.
3.2 Display Unit Placement
The remote LCD display unit is connected to the scale platform via a coiled cable, allowing flexible placement. It can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall.
- Desk Placement: Position the display unit on a stable, flat surface near the scale platform.
- Wall Mounting: Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the display unit to a wall at a comfortable viewing height. The display unit has two rear pin slots for this purpose.

4. Operation
4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the POWER button (⏻) on the display unit to turn the scale on.
- Press and hold the POWER button (⏻) to turn the scale off.
- The scale will not turn off automatically by default, allowing continuous use.
4.2 Unit Conversion
The scale supports three weighing modes: kilograms (kg), pounds (lb), and pounds:ounces (lb:oz).
- Press the MODE button to cycle through the available units.
- The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.

4.3 Weighing Items
- Place the scale on a firm, level surface.
- Turn on the scale. Ensure the display reads "0.00" before placing an item.
- Carefully place the item to be weighed in the center of the scale platform.
- Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.
4.4 HOLD Function
The HOLD function allows you to lock the weight reading on the display, which is useful when weighing large items that might obstruct the view of the display unit.
- After placing an item on the scale and the weight stabilizes, press the HOLD button.
- The displayed weight will be locked, indicated by a "HOLD" icon or similar on the screen.
- You can now remove the item and read the locked weight. Press HOLD again to release the reading.

4.5 TARE Function
The TARE function allows you to zero out the weight of a container, so you can measure only the net weight of its contents.
- Place an empty container (e.g., a box, bowl, or pet bed) on the scale platform.
- Wait for the weight to stabilize.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00".
- Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the weight of the added items.
- To exit Tare mode, remove all items and the container from the scale, then press TARE again.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the scale platform and display unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
5.2 Storage
The THINKSCALE PS4C is lightweight and thin, making it easy to store.
- Store the scale in a dry, cool place away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Display / Power Issues:
• Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
• If using AC adapter, ensure it is securely plugged into both the display unit and a working power outlet. - Inaccurate or Fluctuating Readings:
• Ensure the scale is placed on a stable, level surface, free from vibrations.
• Make sure no objects are touching the scale platform or the display cable.
• Avoid weighing items in windy or drafty conditions.
• For very light items (under 6 oz), accuracy may vary. Consider using a more precise scale for such items.
