  • Multifunction Button: Power on/off, Play/Pause, Answer/End call.

4. Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

  • Connect the USB-C charging cable to the headset's charging port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter).
  • The LED indicator will show charging status. Refer to the LED indicator section for details.
  • Once fully charged, the headset provides up to 45 hours of talk time or 36 hours of music playback.

5. Setup and Pairing

5.1. Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Multifunction Button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Multifunction Button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and then turns off.

5.2. Bluetooth Pairing (Direct to Device)

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Multifunction Button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop with built-in Bluetooth), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  4. Select "BH840" from the list of available devices.
  5. Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly.

5.3. Connecting via USB Dongle (for PC/Mac)

The included USB dongle provides a stable connection for computers without built-in Bluetooth or for optimized performance.

  1. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB-A port on your computer.
  2. Power on the BH840+ headset. It will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle.
  3. The LED indicator on both the headset and the dongle will turn solid blue when connected.
  4. Ensure the BH840+ is selected as the audio input and output device in your computer's sound settings.

5.4. Connecting to Two Devices Simultaneously

The BH840+ supports connecting to two Bluetooth devices at the same time (e.g., a phone and a computer via direct Bluetooth, not with the USB dongle).

  1. Connect the headset to the first device (e.g., your phone) as described in section 5.2.
  2. Turn off Bluetooth on the first device. The headset will enter pairing mode again.
  3. Connect the headset to the second device (e.g., your computer) as described in section 5.2.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth on the first device. The headset should automatically reconnect to both devices.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Call Management

  • Answer Call: Short press the Multifunction Button.
  • End Call: Short press the Multifunction Button during a call.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multifunction Button for 2 seconds.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multifunction Button.

6.2. Audio Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Multifunction Button.
  • Next Track: Short press the Mute Switch/Next Song button.
  • Volume Up: Short press the Volume + button.
  • Volume Down: Short press the Volume - button.

6.3. Mute Function

During a call, press the Mute Switch button to mute your microphone. Press it again to unmute. A beep sound will indicate the mute status.

6.4. Voice Assistant Activation

Triple-press the Multifunction Button to activate your device's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

7. Wearing the Headset

The SUNITEC BH840+ is designed for comfortable wear on either your left or right ear.

  • Adjust the ear hook to fit securely over your ear.
  • Rotate the microphone boom arm up to 270° to position the microphone optimally towards your mouth.
  • The ear hook can swivel 180° to switch between left and right ear wearing.
