Setup

1. Battery Installation:

   The ARIA 2R headlamp is designed with a HYBRID CONCEPT, allowing it to operate with either the included Petzl CORE rechargeable battery or three standard AAA/LR03 batteries. To install or replace batteries, open the battery compartment located at the rear of the headlamp. Insert the CORE battery or AAA batteries according to the polarity indicators. Ensure the compartment is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

2. Headband Adjustment:

   The elastic headband is fully adjustable to fit various head sizes. Use the buckles on either side to tighten or loosen the band for a comfortable and secure fit. The thick, elastic material ensures stability during activity.

3. Mounting Options:

   The headlamp can be worn directly on your head or mounted onto a helmet. Optional plates (available as accessories) allow for secure attachment to various helmet types. Ensure the headlamp is firmly attached to prevent movement during use.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Lighting Modes:

   The headlamp features a single button for all operations. Press the button once to turn the headlamp on. Subsequent presses will cycle through the different white lighting levels (low, medium, high). To access the red light mode, hold the button down for a few seconds when the headlamp is off or in white light mode. Hold the button down again to turn the headlamp off from any mode.

2. Beam Adjustment:

   The light plate pivots, allowing you to direct the light beam up or down as needed. This feature is useful for illuminating objects at different distances or angles without adjusting the headband.

3. Battery Level Indicator:

   To check the battery charge level, briefly press the button when the headlamp is off. A colored indicator light will show the remaining power: green for >50%, yellow for 50%-10%, and red for <10%.

4. Lock Function:

   To prevent accidental activation during transport or storage, the headlamp includes a lock function. Hold the button down for approximately 4 seconds until the light blinks, indicating it is locked. Repeat the process to unlock.

Maintenance

• Cleaning:

  Clean the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the battery compartment is dry before closing.

• Storage:

  Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
• Battery Care:

  For the CORE rechargeable battery, charge it regularly using the provided USB-C cable. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan. If using AAA batteries, replace them when the battery indicator shows low charge.

Troubleshooting

• Headlamp not turning on:

  Check battery charge level. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted and the battery compartment is fully closed. If using the CORE battery, ensure it is properly seated and charged.
• Light is dim:

  This usually indicates a low battery. Recharge the CORE battery or replace the AAA batteries.

• Headlamp is locked:

  If the headlamp does not respond, it may be in lock mode. Hold the button down for 4 seconds to unlock it.
