Operating

The Cybex Gazelle S offers a range of functionalities for ease of use:

  • Folding the Stroller: The Gazelle S features a compact fold, even with one or two seats attached. To fold, ensure the handlebar is at its lowest position, then locate the folding mechanisms (typically levers or buttons on the handlebar or frame) and activate them while pushing the handlebar forward and down. The stroller will collapse into a compact unit.
  • Reclining the Seat: The seat offers an ergonomic near-flat recline position. Locate the recline lever on the back of the seat and adjust to your desired angle.
  • Adjusting the Harness: The one-pull harness system allows for quick and secure fastening. Pull the strap to tighten the harness around your child. To release, press the button on the buckle.
  • Adjusting the Handlebar: The handlebar height can be adjusted to suit different users. Press the buttons on either side of the handlebar and move it up or down to the desired height.
  • Using the Brakes: The foot brake is located near the rear wheels. Press down to engage the brake and lift up to release. Always engage the brake when the stroller is stationary.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your Cybex Gazelle S stroller:

  • Fabric Care: Wash fabric components separately. Use a gentle action wash with warm water. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean. Refer to the care label on each fabric part for specific instructions.
  • Frame Cleaning: Wipe the frame and plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  • Wheel Maintenance: Regularly check the wheels for debris and clean as needed. Ensure wheels spin freely.
  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate moving parts, such as wheel axles and folding mechanisms, with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
  • Storage: Store the stroller in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prevent material degradation.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Cybex Gazelle S stroller, consider the following common solutions:

  • Stroller Not Folding/Unfolding Smoothly: Ensure all locking mechanisms are disengaged. Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism. Lubricate moving parts if resistance persists. If the recline lever is not working, it may prevent proper folding; ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Wheels Not Turning Freely: Check for debris (e.g., dirt, hair) wrapped around the axles. Clean the wheels and lubricate if necessary.
  • Harness Not Securing: Ensure the harness straps are not twisted and the buckle components are clean and free of obstructions. Verify the one-pull adjustment mechanism is functioning correctly.
  • Seat Not Reclining: Check the recline lever for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the seat is correctly installed on the frame.

If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact Cybex customer support for further assistance.
