Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door meets the required dimensions: door hole diameter of 2.12 inches, door thickness between 1.49 and 1.88 inches, and a distance of 3.15 inches between the two doorholes. The backset should be adjustable to 2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches.
- Adjust Deadbolt Length: Adjust the length of the deadbolt to either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" as needed for your door. Ensure the word "UP" on the deadbolt faces upwards and the deadbolt is in the retracted (unlocked) status.
- Install Deadbolt and Strike Plate: Insert the deadbolt into the door edge. Secure it with the provided 2 screws.
- Install Exterior Lock: Place the exterior lock onto the door. Do not insert a physical key at this stage. Ensure the spindle is in a vertical position. Route the IC wire under the deadbolt.
- Install Interior Lock: Route the IC wire through the hole in the metal plate of the interior lock. The hole needs to be on the right side. Secure the metal plate with 2 screws.
- Connect Interior Lock: Rotate the door knob of the interior lock to a vertical position. Connect the IC cable tightly to the designated port on the interior lock.
- Secure Interior Lock: Secure the interior lock to the door using 3 screws.
- Install Batteries: Install 4pcs AA batteries (not included) into the interior lock. Ensure the lock is in the unlocked state when inserting batteries. Close the battery cover.
- Test Deadbolt Functionality: Rotate the door knob to test if the deadbolt can be extended and retracted smoothly.
- Install Exterior Door Handle: Insert the metal rod into the exterior door handle.
- Install Mounting Plate: Place the mounting plate over the exterior door handle. Secure the metal plate with 2 screws.
- Install Interior Door Handle: Attach the interior door handle. Secure it with 2 screws.

5. Operating Instructions
This lock handle operates manually with a key and provides a secure grip for opening and closing your door. For enhanced security and smart features, it is recommended to use this handle in conjunction with a compatible smart fingerprint lock from NUTOMO (e.g., ASIN: B0BV6XYRW5 or B0BV6Z5SNL).
Basic Operation:
- Locking: Use the key to engage the deadbolt from the exterior or the thumb-turn from the interior.
- Unlocking: Use the key from the exterior or the thumb-turn from the interior to retract the deadbolt.
- Opening/Closing: Depress the handle to disengage the latch and open the door. Release the handle to allow the latch to engage when closing.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your door lock handle.
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock handle with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyway and deadbolt mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants.
- Inspection: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. Tighten any loose screws to prevent wobbling or misalignment.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your NUTOMO Front Door Lock Handle, try the following solutions:
- Handle is Loose: Check and tighten the mounting screws on both the interior and exterior sides of the handle.
- Deadbolt Not Extending/Retracting Smoothly: Ensure the deadbolt is properly aligned with the strike plate on the door frame. Check for any obstructions in the door frame or deadbolt mechanism. Lubricate the deadbolt as described in the maintenance section.
- Key is Sticking: Apply graphite lubricant to the keyway. Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly.
- Difficulty Closing/Latching Door: Check if the strike plate on the door frame is aligned with the latch. Adjust the strike plate if necessary. Ensure the door frame is not warped or swollen.
