Introduction

The BuzzTV IR-200 is a factory replacement remote control designed for seamless compatibility with all BuzzTV devices. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your remote control to ensure a smooth and hassle-free user experience.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The BuzzTV IR-200 remote requires two AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Press down on the tab and slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Use and Compatibility

The BuzzTV IR-200 remote is designed for universal compatibility with all BuzzTV devices. Once batteries are installed, the remote should function immediately with your BuzzTV device without additional pairing steps. Point the remote directly at your BuzzTV device and begin operation.

  • Power Button ( / ): Turns the BuzzTV device on or off.
  • Volume Up/Down (VOL+ / VOL-): Adjusts the audio volume.
  • Channel Up/Down (CH+ / CH-): Changes the channel.
  • Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Navigates menus and confirms selections.
  • Back (): Returns to the previous screen or menu.
  • Home (): Returns to the main home screen.
  • Menu (): Opens the menu or options for the current application.
  • Info (): Displays information about the current program or content.
  • Mute (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the audio.

  • Page Up/Down (PG↓ / PG↑): Navigates through pages in lists or guides.
  • Dedicated App Buttons (e.g., LIVE TV, VOD, TV SERIES, PVR, GUIDE, FAVS, SEARCH, SERVER, CATEGORY): Provides quick access to specific functions or applications within the BuzzTV interface.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Remote

To maintain the remote's appearance and functionality:

  • Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases or it stops functioning. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
    • Replace the batteries with new ones.
