6. Operating and Adjustments

Once installed, you can adjust your monitor for optimal viewing comfort and productivity.

The gas spring allows for smooth and effortless height adjustment. You must adjust the tension to match your monitor's weight.

  1. Keep the arm in a horizontal position during adjustment.
  2. Use the provided hex key to turn the adjustment screw located on the arm.
  3. Turn clockwise ("+" direction) to increase tension for heavier monitors (arm falls down).
  4. Turn counter-clockwise ("-" direction) to reduce tension for lighter monitors (arm raises up).
  5. Adjust until the monitor stays at the desired height without drifting up or down.

8. Maintenance

  • Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
  • Clean the monitor arm with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not lubricate the gas spring mechanism. It is designed to be maintenance-free.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Monitor Drifts Down or Up

Solution: Adjust the gas spring tension. If the monitor drifts down, increase tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise. If it drifts up, decrease tension by turning counter-clockwise. Refer to Section 6.1 for detailed instructions.

9.2 Monitor Arm is Wobbly

Solution:

  • Ensure the desk clamp or grommet mount is securely tightened to the desk.
  • Check that the VESA plate is firmly attached to both the monitor and the arm.
  • Verify that your desk surface is stable and not flexing under the weight.

9.3 Difficulty Moving the Arm

Solution: The arm's joints may be too tight. Loosen the corresponding screws slightly with the hex key until movement is smooth but still holds position. Do not loosen excessively.
