VAYINATO Sobo WP-3000F Aquarium Internal Liquid Filter User Manual

1. Safety Instructions

CAUTION: Always disconnect the filter from the electrical socket before performing any maintenance or handling the unit. Failure to do so can result in electric shock.

Always ensure the pump is fully submerged in water during operation. Running the pump dry will cause damage to the motor and void the warranty.

Do not lift the pump unit by pulling the power cord. Always handle the unit by its body.

The power supply cord provided for this appliance cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the appliance must be discarded.

NOTE: Performing regular maintenance can significantly prolong the life span of the pump. During installation, ensure the power plug of the pump is inserted into a power socket outlet located at a higher point than the aquarium water level. This prevents water from flowing back via the wire to the socket outlet in case of a power outage or siphoning effect.

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Filter: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the filter for any signs of damage.
  2. Assemble Components: Attach any necessary nozzles or accessories (e.g., air intake tube for oxygenation, spray bar) to the filter head as per your desired function.
  3. Position the Filter: Place the filter inside the aquarium, ensuring it is fully submerged in water. Use the provided suction cups to securely attach the filter to the inner glass wall of the aquarium. Position it in an area that allows for good water circulation throughout the tank.
  4. Connect Power: Ensure your hands are dry. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Remember the safety instruction to use an outlet positioned higher than the aquarium water level.

4. Operating Instructions

The VAYINATO Sobo WP-3000F filter is designed for continuous operation. Once properly installed and powered, it will continuously filter your aquarium water.

  • Continuous Filtration: Allow the filter to run 24/7 to maintain optimal water quality.
  • Oxygenation: If the air intake tube is connected, the filter will draw air into the water, creating bubbles and increasing dissolved oxygen levels.
  • Wave-making: The adjustable output nozzle can be directed to create surface agitation, which aids in gas exchange and can create a gentle current for fish.
  • Flow Rate: While this model does not feature an adjustable flow rate, its 1200 L/H flow is suitable for tanks up to 2 feet.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of your filter. Always unplug the filter before performing any maintenance.

  1. Disconnect Power: Before touching the filter, always unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove from Aquarium: Carefully detach the filter from the aquarium wall and remove it from the water.
  3. Disassemble Filter: Gently separate the filter casing to access the filter media (bio-foam).
  4. Clean Filter Media: Rinse the bio-foam filter media in old aquarium water (water removed during a water change) to preserve beneficial bacteria. Do not use tap water directly, as chlorine can kill these bacteria. Gently squeeze the foam to remove trapped debris.
  5. Clean Impeller: Remove the impeller cover and the impeller itself. Clean the impeller and its housing with a small brush to remove any debris or mineral buildup. Ensure the ceramic shaft is clean and free of obstructions.
  6. Reassemble and Reinstall: Put all components back together securely. Place the filter back into the aquarium, ensuring it is fully submerged, and then plug it back in.

Frequency: It is recommended to clean the filter media every 2-4 weeks, depending on the bioload of your aquarium. The impeller should be cleaned every 1-2 months or if you notice reduced flow.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VAYINATO Sobo WP-3000F filter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Filter Not Starting:
    • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Ensure the filter is fully submerged in water.
    • Inspect the impeller for any obstructions or damage. Clean the impeller and its housing.
  • Reduced Water Flow:
    • The filter media may be clogged. Perform routine cleaning as described in the Maintenance section.
    • The impeller or its housing may be dirty or obstructed. Clean thoroughly.
    • Ensure the filter output nozzle is not blocked.
  • Excessive Noise:
    • Check the impeller for any foreign objects (e.g., gravel, plant debris) or damage.
    • Ensure the impeller is properly seated in its housing.
    • Verify that the filter is securely attached to the aquarium wall and not vibrating against it.
  • Water Leaking:
    • This is an internal filter and should not leak externally. If water is escaping the aquarium, check the aquarium itself for cracks or leaks.
