2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance. Failure to do so may result in injury or damage.
- Always ensure the unit is unplugged and cooled down before performing any maintenance or refilling water.
- Do not attempt to open the safety cap while the unit is under pressure or hot.
- Keep hands and face away from the steam gun nozzle during operation.
- Use only recommended water types (distilled water is highly recommended) to prolong the life of the boiler.
Built-in Safety Systems:
The 5100CD is equipped with 4 safety systems for your protection:
- Pressure Switch: Automatically regulates boiler pressure.
- Thermostat Protection: Prevents overheating.
- Safety Cap with Safety Valve: Releases excess pressure and prevents opening when hot.
- Low Water Indicator: Alerts when water levels are low, preventing dry boiling.

3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your new 5100CD Dental Steam Cleaner:
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all accessories, including the 3000DA steam gun, hose, funnel, and dipstick, are present.
- Place the Unit: Position the steam cleaner on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Fill the Boiler:
- Ensure the unit is off and unplugged.
- Unscrew the safety cap (refer to Figure 2).
- Using the provided funnel, carefully pour distilled water into the boiler. The nominal water capacity is 1.9 liters. Do not overfill.
- Securely screw the safety cap back on.
- Connect the Steam Gun: Attach the 3000DA steam gun hose to the quick-connect fitting on the unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

4. Operating Instructions
Once the unit is set up, follow these steps for operation:
- Power On: Flip the main power switch (Boiler On/Off) to the 'On' position. The unit will begin heating the water.
- Heating Time: Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the boiler to reach optimal operating pressure. The pressure gauge on the front of the unit will indicate the current pressure.
- Activate Steam: Once the pressure gauge indicates sufficient pressure (up to 3.5 Bar / 50 PSI), press the 'Steam' button on the unit to enable steam flow to the gun.
- Use the Steam Gun: Hold the steam gun firmly and press the trigger to release a concentrated jet of steam. Direct the steam towards the area to be cleaned. The small diameter opening of the 3000DA steam gun provides a very concentrated amount of steam for precision cleaning.
- Eco Mode: To save energy, especially during standby periods, switch the boiler to 'Eco' mode. In this mode, the unit will maintain a lower temperature, reducing energy consumption by up to 33%. Note: While in Eco mode, the unit will not produce steam. Switch back to 'On' for full steam production.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your steam cleaner:
- Emptying the Water:
- Turn the boiler off and unplug the unit.
- Wait for the unit to cool down completely and for the pressure to dissipate. This is crucial for safety.
- Once cool, remove the pressure safety cap.
- Carefully tip the unit upside down to drain all remaining water.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Boiler Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate in the boiler, especially if distilled water is not consistently used. Consult the manufacturer's guidelines or a qualified technician for descaling procedures.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your 5100CD, refer to the common problems and solutions below:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No steam production / Unit not heating | Unit not plugged in; Power switch off; Low water level; Safety switch tripped. | Ensure unit is plugged in and power switch is ON. Check water level and refill if necessary. If unit has been dropped or experienced a power surge, a safety switch may need to be reset (consult manufacturer support). |
| Low steam pressure | Not enough heating time; Low water level; Mineral buildup in boiler. | Allow more time for heating. Check water level. Consider descaling the boiler if mineral buildup is suspected. |
| Water leaking from unit | Safety cap not securely tightened; Damaged seal. | Ensure safety cap is tightly secured. If leaking persists, contact customer support for seal inspection/replacement. |
| Unit makes unusual noises | Low water level; Normal heating sounds. | Check water level and refill. Some gurgling or hissing sounds are normal during heating. If noises are loud or unusual, discontinue use and contact support. |
