Setup & Installation

Vehicle Fit Considerations

The ATOTO F7XE is designed for universal fitment. While its chassis is single DIN, it can be mounted into a double DIN opening using the included DIN pocket. The 10.1-inch display is attached to the front faceplate with a joint, allowing for height and viewing angle adjustments. Please note that in some vehicles, the large floating screen may obstruct air vents, emergency buttons, or other controls. Ensure this is acceptable for your vehicle before installation.

Extra accessories may be required for a complete installation in specific vehicles, such as a dash frame kit, wiring harness, radio antenna adapter, or CANBUS data interface. These are not included and are the buyer's responsibility to acquire if needed.

Operation

Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The F7XE supports both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless connection is quick via Bluetooth, and subsequent connections are automatic. For wired connections, use the original USB cable that came with your phone to ensure stable data transmission and fast charging. The unit's advanced PMS firmware allows for faster charging (max. 1.5 A) of your smartphone while using wired CarPlay/Android Auto.

Bluetooth Functionality

With Bluetooth 5.0, the F7XE supports hands-free calls (HFP/HSP) and music streaming (A2DP/AVRCP/PBAP). You can answer/hang up calls, play/pause music, switch tracks, and adjust volume directly from the stereo, steering wheel controls, or an optional ATOTO AC-44F5 wireless IR remote.

Radio & Media Playback

The unit includes a built-in FM/AM radio tuner with RBDS. It is also compatible with SiriusXM (a Connect Vehicle Tuner and subscription are required, sold separately). For media playback, you can use the two USB interfaces (supporting up to 2TB SSD) or the Micro SD slot (supporting up to 512GB SD card). Both SD and SSD must be in FAT32 or NTFS format.

Live Rear-View (LRV)

The F7XE supports HD 720P rearview video display with a Live Rear-View (LRV) feature. This allows you to view the rear camera feed even when the car is moving forward. This feature requires the ATOTO AC-HD02LR rear-view camera, which is sold separately.

Steering Wheel Control

The F7XE is designed to retain your vehicle's OEM steering wheel control functions. If your vehicle does not have these functions, the ATOTO AC-44F5 wireless IR remote (sold separately) is highly recommended for convenient control of the stereo.

• No Audio Output: Verify all speaker wire connections are secure and correctly polarized. Check the volume levels on the unit and ensure the mute function is not activated. If connected to an external amplifier, confirm its power and connections.
• Display Module Issues (Stripes, Blurry Screen): Ensure all screws for the display module are tightened properly. Leaving screw holes open can lead to display anomalies.
• Wireless Android Auto Auto-Starts: If Android Auto constantly auto-starts via Wi-Fi, you may need to enter developer mode within the Android Auto app on your phone to disable Wi-Fi auto-start, allowing it to only connect when plugged in.
