4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly install your Ergounion Triple Monitor Mount.
4.1 Choose Your Mounting Option
The mount offers two installation methods: C-clamp for desk edges or grommet base for desks with a pre-drilled hole.
Image: Illustration of the two mounting options: a removable C-clamp for desk edges and a stable grommet mounting option for desks with a hole. Also shows integrated cable management.
4.1.1 C-Clamp Installation
- Attach the C-clamp base to the bottom of the main pole.
- Position the C-clamp on the edge of your desk. Ensure the desk thickness is between 0.4 inches (1 cm) and 2.4 inches (6 cm).
- Tighten the C-clamp screw until the mount is securely fastened to the desk. Do not overtighten.
4.1.2 Grommet Base Installation
- If using a grommet hole, ensure the hole diameter is sufficient and the desk thickness is up to 2.25 inches (5.7 cm).
- Assemble the grommet base components as per the diagram in your package.
- Insert the grommet bolt through the desk hole and secure it from underneath with the provided plate and nut.
- Attach the main pole to the grommet base.
4.2 Attaching Monitor Arms and Monitors
- Slide the monitor arms onto the main pole at your desired height. Secure them using the provided collars or screws.
- Attach the VESA plates to the back of each monitor using the appropriate screws from the hardware kit. Ensure the screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
- Carefully slide each monitor (with VESA plate attached) onto the corresponding monitor arm. Ensure the VESA plate locks into place.
5. Operating Instructions
The Ergounion Triple Monitor Mount allows for extensive adjustments to customize your viewing experience.
5.1 Adjusting Monitor Position
Each monitor arm offers the following movements:
- Height Adjustment: Slide the arms up or down the main pole.
- Tilt: Adjust the monitor screen vertically (up/down) by tilting the VESA plate. Maximum tilt angle is 90 degrees.
- Swivel: Rotate the monitor horizontally (left/right) at the arm joint.
- Rotation: Rotate the monitor 360 degrees from landscape to portrait orientation.
Image: Visual guide to the monitor arm's articulation, showing ±90° tilt, 180° swivel, and 360° rotation, along with maximum height (35") and extension (24.7") measurements.
5.2 Tension Adjustment for Monitor Weight
The monitor arms feature a mechanical constant force spring system. It is crucial to adjust the tension to match the weight of your monitors for stable and effortless movement.
- If the monitor sags or drops, turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors.
- If the monitor floats up too easily or is difficult to push down, turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors.
- Use the provided Allen key to make small adjustments until the monitor stays in position when released and moves smoothly.
Image: Close-up of the monitor arm's mechanical constant force adjustment point, indicating to turn counter-clockwise for lighter monitors and clockwise for heavier monitors to achieve proper balance.
5.3 Cable Management
Route your monitor cables through the integrated cable management clips on the underside of the monitor arms and down the main pole to keep your workspace organized.
5.4 Multiple Monitor Configurations
The independent arms allow for various layouts, including side-by-side, stacked, or a combination of orientations to suit your workflow.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor mount, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the mount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Spring Tension: If you change monitors or notice the arms are not holding position correctly, re-adjust the spring tension as described in Section 5.2.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Ergounion Triple Monitor Mount, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor sags or drops. | Spring tension is too low for monitor weight. | Increase spring tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise (see Section 5.2). |
| Monitor floats up or is hard to push down. | Spring tension is too high for monitor weight. | Decrease spring tension by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise (see Section 5.2). |
| Mount is unstable or wobbles. | Mounting base is not securely fastened. | Ensure C-clamp or grommet base is tightened securely to the desk. Check all arm connections. |
| Monitors are not level. | Minor misalignment during installation or adjustment. | Adjust the tilt and rotation of individual VESA plates to level the monitors. |
