3. Initial Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the cooker for any damage.
  2. First Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, lid, and sealing ring with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts completely. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from heat sources and water. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Install Condensation Collector: Attach the condensation collector to the back of the cooker.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the cooker's receptacle, then into a grounded 127V electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  1. Add Ingredients: Place the inner pot into the main unit. Add your ingredients and liquid according to your recipe. Do not fill above the MAX fill line.
  2. Close Lid: Place the lid on the cooker, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the cooker body. Rotate the lid clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure the pressure release valve is set to the "Sealing" position.
  3. Select Cooking Program: Plug in the cooker. The digital display will light up. Select your desired cooking program (e.g., RICE, MEAT, SOUP, CAKE, CONGEE, BEANS/TENDONS) by pressing the corresponding button on the control panel.

  4. Adjust Settings (Optional): Some programs allow for taste adjustment (LESS, NORMAL, MORE) or preset time adjustment. Refer to the specific program details in your recipe.
  5. Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin the preheating phase, then build pressure, and finally start the cooking countdown.
  6. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode. To release pressure, carefully turn the pressure release valve to the "Venting" position. Keep hands and face away from the steam. Wait until the float valve drops down completely before opening the lid.
  7. Open Lid: Rotate the lid counter-clockwise and lift it carefully away from you to avoid residual steam.

Pre-programmed Functions

  • RICE: For various types of rice.
  • MEAT: Ideal for tenderizing meats.

5. Care and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your pressure cooker.

Cleaning

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Pot: The removable inner pot is dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating.
  3. Lid: Wash the lid, sealing ring, and pressure release valve assembly with warm, soapy water. Ensure no food particles are lodged in the valve. The sealing ring should be removed and cleaned regularly.
  4. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Condensation Collector: Empty and clean the condensation collector after each use.
  6. Drying: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing.

Storage

Store the cooker in a dry place. You may place the lid upside down on the inner pot to save space and allow for air circulation.
