- Connect the SSD: Locate the USB port on your computer (desktop or laptop). Your Centon External SSD comes with a USB cable that supports both USB-C and USB-A connections.
- For USB-C ports: Directly plug the USB-C end of the cable into your computer's USB-C port and the other end into the SSD.
- For USB-A ports: Use the included USB-A adapter on the USB-C cable, then plug the USB-A end into your computer's USB-A port and the other end into the SSD.
- Power On: The SSD draws power directly from the USB connection. No external power supply is needed.
- Device Recognition: Your operating system (Windows or macOS) should automatically detect the SSD. It may appear as a new drive in "My Computer" (Windows) or "Finder" (macOS).

Note: Formatting will erase all data on the drive.

- Accessing the Drive: Once connected and recognized, open "File Explorer" (Windows) or "Finder" (macOS) and navigate to the drive. It will typically be labeled as "Centon SSD" or similar.
