1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Initial Use

Before first use, please follow these steps to ensure proper functionality:

  1. Remove Insulating Sheet: Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight. Locate and remove the small insulating sheet placed between the battery and the terminal. This sheet prevents battery drain during storage and shipping. Failure to remove it will prevent the flashlight from turning on.

  2. Charge the Battery: The flashlight comes with a rechargeable battery. Connect the included USB cable to the flashlight's charging port and to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, car charger).

  3. Charging Indicator: A red light indicates charging is in progress. A green light indicates the battery is fully charged.

3. Operating Instructions

The NICRON B74 Flashlight offers multiple lighting modes and features for versatile use:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight on or off.
  • Cycle Through Modes: Once on, press the power button briefly to cycle through the main brightness modes: Low (100 Lumens) > Medium (250 Lumens) > High (700 Lumens). The flashlight has a memory function and will turn on in the last used brightness mode.

  • Strobe/SOS Modes: From any brightness mode, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to activate Strobe mode. Press again for 2 seconds to switch to SOS mode. A brief press will return to the last used brightness mode.
  • Lock Mode: To prevent accidental activation, long press the power button for 5 seconds to activate lock mode. The flashlight will not respond to button presses. To turn off lock mode, long press the button for another 5 seconds.
  • 90-Degree Rotating Head: The flashlight head can be rotated 90 degrees, allowing you to adjust the beam angle and direction. This feature, combined with the magnetic base and pocket clip, enables convenient hands-free operation.

  • Magnetic Tail Cap and Pocket Clip: The strong magnetic tail cap allows the flashlight to be attached to metal surfaces for hands-free use. The robust pocket clip provides secure attachment to clothing or gear.

  • Regular Charging: Recharge the flashlight regularly, especially after prolonged use, to maintain battery health.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Waterproof Rating: The flashlight has an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected from dust and low-pressure water jets. While durable, avoid submerging it in water for extended periods.
  • Storage: Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and recharge it every few months to prevent deep discharge.
