1. Safety Information

General Power Tool Safety

• Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
• Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not abuse the cord. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
• Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use appropriate safety equipment such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, or hearing protection when necessary. Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool.

Battery Tool Use and Care

• Charging: Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
• Battery Pack: Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
• Storage: When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
• Abuse: Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation and Charging

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. The indicator lights on the battery will show the charging status.
2. To install the battery, align the battery pack with the base of the caulking gun handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
3. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

4.2 Loading a Caulk Cartridge

1. Retract Plunger Rod: Press the plunger rod release button (usually located at the back of the gun) and pull the plunger rod handle all the way back.
2. Prepare Cartridge: Cut the tip of the caulk cartridge nozzle at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size. For optimal flow, ensure the outlet is greater than 6mm. Puncture the inner seal of the cartridge using a long nail or the built-in puncture tool if available.
3. Insert Cartridge: Place the prepared caulk cartridge into the gun's barrel, ensuring the nozzle faces forward.
4. Advance Plunger Rod: Push the plunger rod forward until it makes contact with the back of the caulk cartridge.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On and Speed Adjustment

1. Ensure the battery is installed and charged.
2. Press the power button to turn on the device.
3. Use the speed adjustment buttons (refer to Figure 3.3) to select one of the four available speeds. For first-time users or beginners, it is recommended to start with the lowest speed setting to practice flow control.

5.2 Applying Caulk

1. Position the nozzle of the caulking gun at the starting point of your application area, typically at a 45-degree angle to the surface.
2. Press the trigger to begin dispensing caulk. Maintain a consistent speed and angle for an even bead.
3. For continuous application, you may engage the lock-on switch (refer to Figure 3.4) to maintain flow without holding the trigger.
4. When you release the trigger, the auto-retract system will briefly pull back the plunger rod to prevent dripping.

5.3 Using the Built-in LED Light

The caulking gun is equipped with a built-in LED light. This light automatically illuminates when the gun is in operation, providing visibility in dark or poorly lit work environments.

6.1 Cleaning the Caulking Gun

1. After each use, especially with quick-drying sealants, remove the caulk cartridge from the gun.
2. Clean any excess caulk or adhesive from the gun's barrel, plunger rod, and nozzle area. Use a damp cloth or appropriate solvent recommended by the caulk manufacturer for cleaning.
3. Ensure the plunger rod mechanism is free of debris to maintain smooth operation.

6.2 Battery Care and Storage

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not store batteries in a discharged state for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting batteries to heavy impact.
