6. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your Apevia ATX-PR1000W Power Supply:

  1. Prepare Your System: Ensure your computer is powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your computer case to access the power supply mounting area.
  2. Mount the Power Supply: Carefully slide the power supply into its designated bay in your computer case. Secure it with the provided mounting screws.
  3. Connect Main Power Cables: Connect the 20/24-pin ATX main power cable to your motherboard.
  4. Connect CPU Power Cables: Connect the 4/8-pin 12V CPU power cable(s) to your motherboard.
  5. Connect GPU Power Cables: For modern graphics cards, use the dedicated PCIe 5.0 / Gen 5 12VHPWR 12+4pin (16-pin) connector. For other GPUs, use the appropriate 6+2pin PCI-E connectors.
  6. Connect Peripheral Cables: Connect SATA power cables to your storage drives (HDDs, SSDs) and peripheral cables to other components as needed.
  7. Cable Management: Route cables neatly to improve airflow and aesthetics. Use cable ties or straps if necessary.
  8. Close Case and Power On: Once all connections are secure, close your computer case, plug in the AC power cord, and power on your system.
