Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating this fan. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

  • Do not insert fingers or other objects into the fan blades while they are in motion.
  • Keep the fan away from water sources and other liquids.
  • Do not operate the fan in a confined space without adequate ventilation.
  • Unplug the fan when not in use, before cleaning, or before performing any maintenance.
  • Ensure the power cord is not damaged or pinched. Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug.
  • This fan is equipped with a sealed motor, suitable for dusty and humid environments. However, avoid direct exposure to heavy rain or submersion in water.
  • Always place the fan on a stable, level surface when used on the floor.
  • When wall-mounted, ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the fan's weight securely.

4. Setup and Installation

The HYPER TOUGH drum fan offers versatile placement options:

4.1 Floor Placement

For floor use, ensure the V-shaped stand is securely attached to the fan body. Place the fan on a flat, stable surface. The fan head can be pivoted to direct airflow as needed. The red adjustment knobs on the side allow you to loosen, adjust the angle, and then tighten to secure the fan head in position.

4.2 Wall Mounting

The V-shaped stand also functions as a wall mount bracket. To mount the fan on a wall:

  1. Identify a suitable wall location that can safely support the fan's weight (approximately 7.24 kg or 16 lbs). Ensure there are no electrical wires or plumbing behind the mounting area.
  2. Mark the drilling points for the wall mount bracket. Use appropriate wall anchors and screws (not included, unless specified in package contents) for your wall type (e.g., wood studs, drywall, concrete).
  3. Securely attach the V-shaped stand to the wall using the appropriate hardware. Ensure it is level and firmly fixed.
  4. Attach the fan unit to the mounted bracket. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
  5. Once mounted, verify the fan is stable and does not wobble.

5. Operation

Operating your HYPER TOUGH drum fan is straightforward:

  1. Plug In: Insert the 6-foot power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet matches the fan's voltage requirements.
  2. Adjust Airflow Direction: Loosen the red adjustment knobs on the side of the fan, pivot the fan head to the desired angle, and then tighten the knobs to secure it. The pivot head allows for precise air direction.
  3. Select Speed: Locate the speed regulator dial on the top of the fan. Turn the dial to select your desired fan speed. The fan offers three speeds:
    • 0: Off
    • 1: Low Speed
    • 2: Medium Speed
    • 3: High Speed
  4. Turn Off: To turn off the fan, turn the speed regulator dial to the "0" position. For extended periods of non-use, unplug the fan from the power outlet.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your fan.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
    • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • For the fan blades and grille, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or compressed air to remove dust and debris. Do not use water directly on the motor or electrical components.
    • The sealed motor requires no lubrication.
  • Fuse Replacement: The 6-foot power cord includes a built-in fuse for protection. If the fan stops working unexpectedly, check the fuse. Refer to the fuse compartment on the plug for instructions on replacement. Always replace with a fuse of the same type and rating.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the fan in a cool, dry place, protected from dust and moisture.
