2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your Hypertech PowerStay module:
- Ensure your vehicle's ignition is completely off and the engine is not running.

5. Operating Instructions
The Hypertech PowerStay is designed for simple, automatic operation. Once installed, it will instantly and safely disable your vehicle's Auto Start-Stop system and/or V4 mode (cylinder deactivation).
- Auto Start-Stop: With the PowerStay installed, your vehicle's engine will no longer automatically shut off when the vehicle comes to a stop and restart when the brake pedal is released.
- V4 Mode (Cylinder Deactivation): For vehicles equipped with cylinder deactivation, the PowerStay will keep the engine operating on all cylinders, preventing it from switching to a lower cylinder mode (e.g., V4 mode from V8 mode).
To re-enable these features, simply unplug the PowerStay module from the OBD-II port.
