Setup and Installation
Unpacking Your Freezer
Remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape holding accessories in place. Inspect the freezer for any damage. Keep packaging materials until you are satisfied with the operation of your freezer.
Location Requirements
Choose a location with a strong, level floor capable of supporting the freezer when fully loaded. Ensure there is adequate air circulation around the freezer. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources. This unit is designed for freestanding installation.
- Clearance: Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space at the back and sides for proper ventilation.
- Leveling: Use the adjustable legs at the bottom of the freezer to ensure it is level. A level freezer operates more efficiently.

Electrical Connection
The freezer requires a dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz, 15 Amp circuit. Do not use an extension cord. Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
Operating Your Freezer
Temperature Control
The temperature control dial is located on the front of the freezer. Turn the dial to adjust the temperature. "MIN" is the warmest setting, and "MAX" is the coldest setting. "OFF" turns the cooling system off.

- For general use, a "MID" setting is often sufficient.
- Allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize after making adjustments.
Storage Basket
Your freezer includes a removable interior basket for organizing smaller items or frequently accessed foods. This helps keep the main compartment tidy and accessible.

Maintenance and Care
Manual Defrost
This freezer requires manual defrosting. Defrost when frost accumulation reaches about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (0.6 to 1.2 cm) thick. Excessive frost buildup reduces cooling efficiency.
- Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
- Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
- Open the drain plug located at the bottom of the freezer to allow water to escape. Place a shallow pan or towel underneath to collect the water.
- Leave the lid open to allow frost to melt naturally. You can speed up the process by placing bowls of hot water inside the freezer (do not use sharp objects to chip away ice).
- Once all frost has melted, clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Close the drain plug securely.
- Plug the freezer back in and allow it to cool for a few hours before returning food items.

Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Regularly vacuum the condenser coils at the back of the freezer to maintain efficiency.
Troubleshooting
Before calling for service, check the following common issues:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer does not operate. | Not plugged in; Circuit breaker tripped/fuse blown; Temperature control set to "OFF". | Ensure plug is secure; Reset breaker/replace fuse; Turn temperature control to a setting other than "OFF". |
| Temperature is not cold enough. | Temperature control set too warm; Door opened too frequently; Large amount of warm food added; Poor air circulation; Excessive frost buildup. | Adjust control to a colder setting; Minimize door openings; Allow time for new food to cool; Ensure proper clearance around freezer; Defrost the freezer. |
| Freezer runs too frequently. | High ambient temperature; Door opened too often; Door gasket not sealing properly. | This is normal in hot weather; Minimize door openings; Check and clean door gasket, ensure proper seal. |
| Vibrations or rattling noise. | Freezer is not level; Loose parts. | Adjust leveling legs; Check for loose components and tighten if possible. |
