Convertibility Features

The Essex crib is designed for long-term use, adapting to your child's needs as they grow. It converts into four different configurations:

1. Crib Mode

The primary function for infants, providing a safe and enclosed sleeping environment. The mattress support can be adjusted to three different heights.

2. Toddler Bed Mode

As your child outgrows the crib, it can be converted into a toddler bed by removing the front rail and adding a toddler guardrail (sold separately). This allows for easier access while maintaining a secure sleeping space.

Adjustable Mattress Height

The crib features an adjustable mattress support with three positions. This allows you to lower the mattress as your baby grows and becomes more mobile, ensuring their safety by preventing them from climbing out.

  • Highest Position: Ideal for newborns and younger infants, making it easier for parents to reach the baby.
  • Middle Position: For babies who can push up on their hands and knees.
  • Lowest Position: For active babies who can stand.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your Delta Children Essex Crib.

  • Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or strong chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure. Do not overtighten.
  • Storage: If storing the crib, disassemble it carefully and store components in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent warping or damage.
