4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Lens

  1. Remove the rear lens cap and the camera body cap.
  2. Align the red or white index mark on the lens with the corresponding mark on the camera body.
  3. Turn the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.

4.2 Inserting the Battery and Memory Card

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the battery with the electrical contacts facing the correct direction, then close the cover.
  3. Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
  4. Insert the SD card with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks. Close the cover.

4.3 Attaching the Neck Strap

Thread the ends of the neck strap through the strap lugs on the camera body and secure them as shown in the strap instructions.

5. Basic Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

To turn the camera on or off, use the power switch located near the mode dial.
