The safe requires 4 AA batteries (included). Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the safe door. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). The LED screen should illuminate upon successful installation.
Mounting the Safe
The Ozone Fort Safe AB-66 is designed for floor mounting and comes with pre-drilled holes for easy installation. For optimal security, it is highly recommended to bolt the safe to a solid surface.
- Choose a secure and discreet location for the safe.
- Open the safe door and locate the pre-drilled holes on the bottom or back panel.
- Position the safe and mark the drilling points on the floor or wall using a pencil.
- Move the safe and drill pilot holes at the marked locations using an appropriate drill bit for your surface (concrete, wood, etc.).
- Reposition the safe over the drilled holes.
- Secure the safe using appropriate anchor bolts (not included, as type depends on mounting surface) through the pre-drilled holes. Tighten all bolts securely.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the LED screen, replace all 4 AA batteries promptly. Use high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components. Ensure the keypad and fingerprint scanner are kept clean and free of dust or debris.
General Care
Regularly check the door hinges and locking bolts for smooth operation. Do not force the handle if the door is stiff. Keep the emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe.
