Safety Information

• This product is intended for installation on wood studs, solid concrete, or brick walls. DO NOT MOUNT ON DRYWALL ALONE.
• Ensure the mounting surface can safely support the combined weight of the mount and the display. The maximum load capacity for this mount is 132 lbs (60 kg).
• Use only the hardware provided by the manufacturer. Using incompatible hardware may cause damage or injury.
• Always use a stud finder to locate wood studs accurately.
• For concrete or brick walls, ensure proper anchors are used and drilled holes are of the correct size.
• Installation often requires two people for safety and ease.

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Mounting the Wall Plate

Determine your wall type (wood stud, concrete, or brick) and follow the appropriate instructions. Use the provided template to mark drill holes accurately. A magnetic spirit level is included to ensure precise alignment.

For Wood Stud Walls:

1. Use a stud finder to locate the edges and center of the wood studs. Mark the center of the studs where you intend to mount the wall plate.
2. Place the wall plate against the wall, aligning the mounting holes with the marked stud centers. Use the integrated spirit level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal.
3. Mark the drill points through the wall plate holes.
4. Drill pilot holes into the wood studs using a 5.5mm (7/32 inch) drill bit to a depth of 60mm (2.36 inches).
5. Attach the wall plate to the wall using the Self-tap Screws (ST6.3*55mm) and Washers (φ6mm). Tighten securely with the wrench.

For Concrete or Brick Walls:

1. Place the wall plate against the wall at the desired height. Use the integrated spirit level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal.
2. Mark the drill points through the wall plate holes.
3. Drill holes into the concrete or brick using a 10mm (3/8 inch) masonry drill bit to a depth of 60mm (2.36 inches).
4. Insert the Concrete Anchors (D6*50mm) into the drilled holes. Ensure they are flush with the wall surface.
5. Attach the wall plate to the wall using the Self-tap Screws (ST6.3*55mm) and Washers (φ6mm) into the anchors. Tighten securely with the wrench.

Step 2: Attaching the TV Brackets to Your TV

Select the appropriate screws (M4, M6, or M8) and spacers that fit your TV's VESA mounting holes. The VESA pattern for this mount ranges from 200x100mm to 400x400mm.

1. Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Align the TV brackets with the VESA mounting holes on the back of your TV. Ensure the brackets are oriented correctly (usually with the longer arms pointing downwards).
3. Insert the chosen screws through the washers (if needed), then through the TV brackets, and into the TV's mounting holes. If your TV has an uneven back or recessed holes, use the appropriate spacers to ensure a flat and secure fit.
4. Tighten all screws firmly but do not overtighten.

Step 3: Hanging TV to the Brackets and Locking It

This step typically requires two people due to the weight and size of the TV.

1. Carefully lift the TV with the attached brackets and hook the brackets onto the wall plate's arms. Ensure both brackets are securely seated on the arms.
2. Once the TV is hung, locate the locking screws or mechanisms on the bottom of the TV brackets. Tighten these screws to secure the TV to the wall plate, preventing accidental dislodgement.

Operating Instructions

The BONTEC TV Wall Mount offers full motion capabilities for an optimal viewing experience.

Adjusting TV Position:

• Extension/Retraction: Gently pull the TV away from the wall to extend the arm up to 33.5 inches, or push it back to retract it to 2.56 inches.
• Swivel: The mount allows for ±90° swivel (180° total left to right movement) depending on TV size and wall clearance. Carefully pivot the TV to your desired viewing angle.
• Tilt: The TV can be tilted ±8° to reduce glare or achieve a better viewing angle. Loosen the tilt adjustment knobs on the TV brackets, adjust the angle, and then re-tighten to secure.
• Level Adjustment: If the TV appears unlevel after installation, you can adjust it by ±3°. This adjustment is typically done by loosening specific screws on the TV plate and rotating the TV slightly, then re-tightening. Cable Management:

Use the included cable ties to neatly route and secure your TV cables along the articulated arm. This helps maintain a clean appearance and prevents cables from being pinched or damaged during adjustments.

Maintenance

• Periodic Inspection: Every 6-12 months, check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Re-tighten any loose fasteners.
• Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Lubrication: The articulated joints are designed for smooth movement. If you notice any stiffness over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the pivot points.

Troubleshooting

• Mount feels unstable or wobbly: Immediately remove the TV from the mount. Re-check all wall mounting screws and TV bracket screws to ensure they are securely tightened. Verify that the mount is installed into appropriate wall structures (wood studs, concrete, or brick) and not just drywall.
• Difficulty extending or swiveling the arm: Check for any obstructions. Ensure cables are not caught in the joints. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the pivot points if movement is stiff.
• TV not fitting the VESA pattern: Double-check your TV's VESA dimensions against the mount's compatibility (200x100mm to 400x400mm). Ensure you are using the correct screws and spacers for your TV model.
