4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Abestorm LGR85 dehumidifier:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired location (e.g., basement, crawl space, warehouse). Ensure there is at least 1 foot of clearance around all sides for proper airflow. The unit is designed to be stackable for efficient storage or multi-unit operation.
  3. Drainage Hose Connection:
    • Locate the drain outlet on the unit.
    • Connect the provided 19.6 ft drain hose to the outlet. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
    • Route the drain hose to a suitable drainage point, such as a floor drain, sink, or outside. The built-in pump can discharge water vertically up to 14.7 ft.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Abestorm LGR85 is designed for straightforward operation:

  1. Power On/Off: Press the power button on the LED control panel to turn the unit on or off.
  2. Setting Desired Humidity: Use the arrow buttons on the control panel to set your desired humidity level. The unit will automatically operate to maintain this level, typically between 25% and 80% relative humidity.
  3. Auto-Defrost: The unit features an automatic defrost function. If frost builds up on the coils, the unit will temporarily stop dehumidifying and run the fan to melt the frost. This is normal operation and ensures efficient performance.
  4. Memory Restart: In case of a power outage, the LGR85 will automatically restart with your last settings once power is restored.
  5. Continuous Drainage: With the drain hose connected, the built-in pump will automatically remove collected condensate, eliminating the need for manual emptying.
