3.2 Connecting Peripherals

Once the docking station is connected to your host device, you can begin connecting your peripherals:

• USB Devices: Plug your USB-A devices (e.g., mouse, keyboard, external hard drive) into the USB 3.0 ports. For USB-C peripherals, use the dedicated Type-C data ports.
• External Displays:
  • For HDMI displays, connect an HDMI cable from your monitor to the HDMI port on the docking station.

Note: The Mport 13C provides up to 55W of power delivery. If your laptop requires higher wattage (e.g., 65W or more), it may charge slower or display a warning message. In such cases, it is recommended to use your laptop's dedicated charger directly for optimal charging performance.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Data Transfer

The USB 3.0 ports on the Mport 13C support high-speed data transfer, allowing you to move large files quickly between your host device and connected storage devices.

• Connect your USB flash drives, external hard drives, or other storage devices to the USB 3.0 or Type-C data ports.
• Drag and drop files as you normally would between your computer and the connected storage.

4.2 Video Output

The docking station supports both HDMI and VGA outputs for connecting external monitors. You can use these ports simultaneously for a dual-monitor setup.

• Single Display: Connect either an HDMI or VGA cable to your monitor.
• Dual Display: Connect one monitor via HDMI and another via VGA. Your operating system will detect both displays.
• Adjust display settings (e.g., resolution, orientation, extension/mirroring) through your computer's display settings.

Important: The maximum resolution for HDMI is 4K@30Hz, and for VGA, it is 2K@60Hz. Performance may vary based on your host device's capabilities and cable quality.

4.3 Network Connectivity

The RJ45 Ethernet port provides a stable and faster internet connection compared to Wi-Fi, especially useful for large downloads or online gaming.

• Ensure an Ethernet cable is securely connected from your network source to the docking station's RJ45 port.
• Your computer should automatically connect to the wired network. Check your network settings if a connection is not established.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the docking station. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the docking station in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.
• Cable Care: Do not bend or crimp the integrated USB-C cable excessively to prevent damage.

• No Display Output:
  • Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
  • Check all cable connections (USB-C to host, HDMI/VGA to monitor).
  • Try a different HDMI or VGA cable.
  • Verify monitor input source is correctly selected.
  • Update graphics drivers on your host device.
  • If using dual monitors, ensure your system settings are configured to extend or duplicate the display. Note that some systems may have limitations on simultaneous video outputs or specific port combinations.
• No Power Delivery / Slow Charging:
  • Ensure your laptop's original USB-C power adapter is connected to the PD port on the docking station.
  • Confirm the power adapter is functioning correctly.
  • If your laptop requires more than 55W, it may charge slowly or not at all through the hub. Consider connecting the laptop charger directly to the laptop.
• USB Ports Not Working:
  • Reconnect the docking station to your host device.
  • Try connecting the USB device directly to your host device to confirm it works.
  • Ensure the USB device does not require more power than the hub can provide.
• Ethernet Connection Issues:
  • Check the Ethernet cable connection to both the router/modem and the docking station.
  • Verify that your router/modem is working correctly.
  • Check network settings on your computer.
• Audio Lag or No Sound:
  • Ensure the 3.5mm audio jack is fully inserted.
  • Select the docking station as the default audio output device in your computer's sound settings.
  • Restart your audio application or computer.
• SD/MicroSD Card Not Detected:
  • Ensure the card is fully inserted into the correct slot.
