Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the 12V Lithium-Ion Battery. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet and insert the battery pack into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Ensure the battery is fully charged for optimal performance and battery life.
2. Installing/Removing the Battery
- To Install: Align the battery pack with the slot in the base of the drill handle. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.
- To Remove: Press the battery release button (usually located on the front or sides of the battery pack) and slide the battery out of the handle.
3. Installing Drill Bits/Driver Bits
The drill features a 3/8 inch keyless chuck for easy bit changes.
- Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise until the jaws are open wide enough to insert the desired bit.
- Insert the bit fully into the chuck.
- Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and secure to prevent slippage during operation.
Operating Instructions
1. Variable Speed Control
The drill/driver features a variable speed trigger. Press the trigger lightly for slower speeds and increase pressure for higher speeds, up to 550 RPM. This allows for precise control depending on the material and application.
2. Torque Clutch Settings
Adjust the torque clutch collar (located behind the chuck) to one of the 12 settings. Lower settings are for driving small screws or working with soft materials, while higher settings are for larger screws or harder materials. The drill setting bypasses the clutch for maximum torque when drilling holes.
3. Forward/Reverse Selector
A switch above the trigger allows you to select forward (clockwise rotation for drilling/driving) or reverse (counter-clockwise rotation for removing screws or backing out bits). Position the switch in the middle for the trigger lock, which prevents accidental starting.
4. LED Work Light
The integrated LED light automatically illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, providing better visibility in dimly lit spaces.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Keep the tool's air vents clear and free of debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the tool. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
