Important Safeguards

• Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
• Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
• Ensure all food contact parts are made with BPA-free materials.
• This appliance uses a USB input with a 5V adapter and a 2-pin plug. Ensure proper power supply.

• Main Unit (Pitcher): Holds the brewed cold brew concentrate. Features a brew window to observe the infusion process.
• Lid with Control Panel: Contains the power button, brew setting selector, and start button.
• Removable Brew Chamber: Where coffee grounds are placed for brewing.
• Dual Mesh Filters: Integrated within the brew chamber to ensure smooth extraction and prevent grounds from entering the concentrate.
• Power Adapter: USB input with 5V adapter and cord for power supply.

Setup

Before first use, ensure all parts are clean and dry.

Initial Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Clean: Wash the removable brew chamber and dual mesh filters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
3. Assemble: Place the dual mesh filters into the removable brew chamber. Insert the brew chamber into the main unit.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew your cold brew coffee.

Brewing Process

1. Add Coffee Grounds: Fill the removable brew chamber with your desired amount of coarse-ground coffee. Do not overfill.
2. Place Brew Chamber: Securely place the brew chamber with coffee grounds into the main unit.
3. Add Water: Pour cold, filtered water into the main unit, ensuring it covers the coffee grounds in the brew chamber. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (500mL / 17 ounces).

4. Secure Lid: Place the lid onto the main unit and twist to lock it in place.
5. Connect Power: Plug the USB power adapter into the appliance and then into a suitable 5V power source.

6. Select Brew Setting: Press the 'Brew Setting' button on the lid to cycle through the available options: Mild, Medium, or Bold. The indicator light will show the selected setting.
7. Start Brewing: Press the 'Start' button. The appliance will begin the rapid cold brewing process using patented vacuum technology. The brew window allows you to observe the infusion.

8. Brew Completion: Brewing typically takes as little as 5 minutes, depending on the selected strength. The appliance will indicate when brewing is complete.
9. Serve: Once brewing is complete, remove the lid and brew chamber. Pour the cold brew concentrate into a glass with ice. Dilute with water or milk to your preference.

Brew Settings

The Tru Rapid Cold Brew Coffee Maker offers three brew strength settings:

• Mild: For a lighter, smoother cold brew.
• Medium: A balanced strength, suitable for most preferences.
• Bold: For a stronger, more intense cold brew concentrate.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your coffee maker.

• Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power source before cleaning.
• Disassemble: Remove the lid and the brew chamber from the main unit. Discard used coffee grounds.
• Wash Removable Parts: Wash the brew chamber and dual mesh filters with warm, soapy water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove any coffee residue. Rinse thoroughly.
• Clean Main Unit: Wipe the interior and exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit or the lid (which contains electrical components) in water.
• Dry: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing.
• Storage: Store the appliance in a clean, dry place when not in use.
