Setup
Before first use, ensure the appliance is clean and dry. Place the FoodSaver FM2010 on a flat, stable surface. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The Power indicator light will illuminate.
Operating Instructions
Using the Main Vacuum Sealer
- Prepare the Bag: Place the food item into a FoodSaver vacuum seal bag. Ensure there is at least 3 inches (7.6 cm) of space between the food and the top of the bag to allow for proper sealing.
- Open and Insert: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel.
- Close and Lock: Close the lid firmly. Turn the Easy-Lock Latch to the 'Operate' position to secure the lid.
- Vacuum and Seal: Press the Vac/Seal button. The machine will automatically remove air from the bag and then create an airtight seal. The process is complete when the indicator light turns off.
- Release and Remove: Turn the Easy-Lock Latch to the 'Open' position to release the lid. Remove the sealed bag.

Using the Handheld Sealer with Accessory Port
- Connect Hose: Attach one end of the accessory hose to the Accessory Port on the main unit.
- Attach to Bag/Container: Attach the other end of the hose to the port on a FoodSaver zipper bag or container.
- Activate Vacuum: Press the vacuum button on the handheld sealer. The sealer will remove air until a vacuum is achieved.
- Remove Hose: Once vacuuming is complete, remove the hose.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Drip Tray
The removable drip tray is designed to catch any overflow liquids during the vacuum sealing process. It is dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
- To remove, pull the drip tray straight out from the front of the unit.
- Wash in the dishwasher or by hand with warm, soapy water.
- Ensure the drip tray is completely dry before reinserting it into the unit.
