1. Introduction
The Shure GLXD1+ Bodypack Transmitter is designed for seamless integration with GLX-D+ Dual Band Digital Wireless Microphone Systems. This transmitter provides reliable and transparent audio performance, utilizing new Dual Band Wireless Technology for enhanced signal stability. It features smart rechargeability and is built for durability in various professional audio environments.
Important Note: GLX-D+ Dual Band transmitters and receivers are not compatible with previous GLX-D or GLX-D Advanced Wireless systems.

2. What's in the Box
Your Shure GLXD1+ Bodypack Transmitter package includes the following components:
- GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter
- SB904 lithium-ion rechargeable battery
- User guide
Please note that a receiver and a TQG-terminated cable or microphone (e.g., WA302 cable or SM31FH mic) are sold separately and are required for a complete operational system.
3. Setup
3.1. Connecting a Microphone or Instrument Cable
The GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter features a TQG connector for attaching compatible microphones or instrument cables. Ensure the connector is securely fastened to prevent accidental disconnections during use.

3.2. Pairing with a Receiver
The GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter must be paired with a compatible GLX-D+ Dual Band Digital Wireless Receiver. The system utilizes automatic frequency management to find the cleanest channel. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific pairing instructions. Generally, this involves initiating a scan on the receiver and then syncing the transmitter via its IR port.
4. Operation
4.1. Powering On/Off
To power on the GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter, locate the power switch and slide it to the 'ON' position. A status indicator light will illuminate. To power off, slide the switch to the 'OFF' position.
4.2. Wearing the Bodypack
The bodypack transmitter is designed to be lightweight and compact. It includes a clip on the back for secure attachment to clothing, a belt, or a guitar strap. Ensure the antenna is not obstructed for optimal signal transmission.

4.3. Dual Band Wireless Technology
The GLX-D+ system operates in both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands. This Dual Band Wireless Technology automatically scans both bands and selects the cleanest channel, providing reliable and consistent signal transmission with reduced risk of dropouts.

5. Battery Management
5.1. Battery Installation
The GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter uses a Shure SB904 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. To install, open the battery compartment, insert the battery with the correct orientation, and close the compartment securely.

5.2. Charging the SB904 Battery
The SB904 battery can be charged in multiple ways:
- Directly on the Receiver: If your GLX-D+ receiver has a built-in charging slot, you can insert the battery directly into the receiver for charging.
- Via USB-C: The bodypack transmitter features a USB-C port for convenient charging using a standard USB-C cable and power adapter (not included).
The battery offers quick charge capabilities, providing approximately 1.5 hours of use from a 15-minute charge.

5.3. Battery Life
The SB904 lithium-ion rechargeable battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous runtime, ensuring extended performance for your events.

7.1. Signal Interference
The GLX-D+ system is designed to intelligently avoid interference. If you experience signal dropouts or poor audio quality:
- Ensure the transmitter and receiver are within the recommended operating range.
- Check for potential sources of interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, other wireless devices) and try to minimize their proximity to the system.
- Perform a fresh frequency scan on your receiver to allow the system to find the clearest available channels.
- Ensure the bodypack's antenna is not obstructed.
7.2. Power Issues
- If the transmitter does not power on, check that the SB904 battery is correctly installed and fully charged.
- If battery life is shorter than expected, ensure the battery is fully charged before use and consider replacing older batteries if performance degrades significantly.
