5. Operating Instructions

Using as a Sofa

To use the daybed as a sofa, simply place soft, fluffy pillows along the back and sides for comfortable back support. The upholstered design provides a cozy seating area.

Using the Trundle Bed

The trundle bed is designed to easily pull out for an additional sleeping space and slide back in when not in use.

  1. To extend the trundle: Gently pull the front panel of the trundle bed outwards from under the main daybed frame. The wheels will allow it to roll smoothly.
  2. To retract the trundle: Push the trundle bed back under the main daybed frame until it is fully concealed.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your daybed.

  • Upholstery Care: The upholstered fabric is Dry Clean Only. For minor spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
  • General Cleaning: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain stability.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause fading of the upholstery fabric.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your daybed, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Issue: Daybed feels wobbly or unstable.
Solution: Check all assembly bolts and screws. Re-tighten any loose connections. Ensure the daybed is placed on a flat, level surface.
  • Issue: Trundle is difficult to pull out or push in.
Solution: Check for any obstructions under the daybed. Ensure the trundle wheels are clean and free of debris. Verify that the trundle frame was assembled correctly and the wheels are properly installed.
  • Issue: Squeaking noises.
Solution: Squeaking can often be resolved by tightening all hardware. If the noise persists, apply a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal contact points, avoiding contact with upholstery.
