4. Setup and Assembly
Before first use, some assembly is required. Follow these steps carefully:
- Handlebar Assembly: Attach the bicycle handlebar to the shaft using the provided fasteners. Ensure it is securely tightened and positioned for comfortable operation.
- Cutting Guard Installation: Securely attach the cutting guard to the shaft above the cutting head. This guard is essential for user safety.
- Cutting Head/Blade Attachment: Depending on your task, install either the Tap&Go nylon head or the 3-tooth metal blade. Refer to the specific instructions in your detailed manual for correct attachment and torque specifications.
- Harness Adjustment: Attach the double harness to the brushcutter. Adjust the straps to ensure the machine is balanced and comfortable to wear, distributing the weight evenly across your shoulders and back.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Engine
- Place the brushcutter on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the stop switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Engage the choke (if the engine is cold).
- Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.
- Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine starts.
- Once started, disengage the choke gradually. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before use.
5.2 Using the Brushcutter
- Wear the double harness correctly, ensuring the brushcutter is balanced and comfortable.
- Maintain a firm grip on both handlebars.
- Keep the cutting head parallel to the ground.
- Use a sweeping motion, cutting from right to left for optimal efficiency and debris control.
- For the Tap&Go head, lightly tap the cutting head on the ground while the engine is running at full throttle to advance the nylon line.
- When using the metal blade, be extra cautious of kickback and avoid contact with hard objects.
5.3 Stopping the Engine
To stop the engine, simply move the stop switch to the 'OFF' position.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your brushcutter.
- Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. A clogged filter reduces engine performance.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel Filter: Check and replace the fuel filter as needed to prevent fuel system blockages.
- Cutting Head/Blade: Inspect the nylon line for wear and replace as necessary. Sharpen or replace the metal blade if it becomes dull or damaged.
- General Cleaning: After each use, clean the brushcutter, removing grass, dirt, and debris from the engine, shaft, and cutting head.
- Storage: For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer. Clean the machine thoroughly and store it in a dry, secure location.
7. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine won't start | No fuel, incorrect choke setting, fouled spark plug, clogged fuel filter | Check fuel level and mixture, adjust choke, clean/replace spark plug, replace fuel filter |
| Loss of power during operation | Clogged air filter, incorrect fuel mixture, dull cutting tool | Clean/replace air filter, ensure correct fuel mixture, sharpen/replace cutting tool |
| Excessive vibration | Damaged or unbalanced cutting head/blade, loose components | Inspect and replace damaged cutting tools, tighten all fasteners |
| Nylon line not advancing | Line tangled, insufficient engine speed, empty spool | Untangle line, ensure full throttle when tapping, refill spool |
