3. Setup

3.1. Assembly

1. Carefully unpack all components from the packaging.
2. Attach the ground stake to the bottom of the yard stake unit by screwing it clockwise until secure.

3.2. Placement

1. Select a suitable outdoor location for the yard stake. Ensure the location is on stable ground and allows the stake to be fully inserted.
2. For optimal performance of the photoelectric eye, ensure the light sensor (located on the top of the unit) is not obstructed by foliage, buildings, or other objects that could block natural light.
3. Plug the 10-foot power cord into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet.
4. Connect your outdoor lights or decorations to the 6 grounded outlets on the yard stake. Ensure all connections are secure and outlet covers are properly closed when not in use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

The main power switch is located on the side of the yard stake unit. Press it to turn the unit ON or OFF. The switch will illuminate when the unit is powered ON.

4.2. Timer Settings

The timer function is controlled by the button on the top of the yard stake unit. Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the available settings. The LED indicator will show the selected mode.

• ON: The outlets will remain continuously ON.
• OFF: The outlets will remain continuously OFF.
• 2HR: Lights turn ON at dusk and turn OFF after 2 hours.
• 4HR: Lights turn ON at dusk and turn OFF after 4 hours.
• 6HR: Lights turn ON at dusk and turn OFF after 6 hours.
• 8HR: Lights turn ON at dusk and turn OFF after 8 hours.
• Dusk-to-Dawn: Lights turn ON at dusk and turn OFF at dawn.

The photoelectric eye senses the absence of daylight to activate the timer functions. Ensure the sensor is unobstructed for accurate operation.

4.3. Wireless Remote Control

The wireless remote allows you to manually override the timer settings from a distance of up to 100 feet. It is useful for turning lights ON or OFF instantly without needing to access the stake unit.

• ON Button: Press to turn all connected devices ON immediately.
• OFF Button: Press to turn all connected devices OFF immediately.
• Timer Button: Cycles through the 2HR, 4HR, 6HR, 8HR, and Dusk-to-Dawn timer settings.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

To clean the unit, first ensure it is unplugged from the power source. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water or use harsh chemicals.

5.2. Storage

When not in use, store the yard stake timer and remote in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the unit is clean and dry before storing.

6. Troubleshooting

• Lights not turning on:
  • Check if the unit is plugged into a live grounded outlet.
  • Ensure the main power switch on the stake unit is ON.
  • Verify the timer setting is correctly selected (e.g., not set to OFF).
  • Check the photoelectric eye for obstructions (dirt, leaves, etc.) that might prevent it from sensing darkness.
  • Ensure connected lights are functioning correctly.
• Remote control not working:
  • Check the battery in the remote control and replace if necessary.
  • Ensure you are within the 100-foot operating range.
  • Ensure there are no major obstructions between the remote and the yard stake unit.
• Unit repeatedly shuts off:
  • The unit has built-in overload protection. If too many devices are connected or the total wattage exceeds the unit's capacity, it may trip. Unplug some devices and reset the unit. Refer to specifications for maximum load.
