2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully unpack all components and verify that all items listed in the product packaging are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact Lorex support immediately.

2.2 Connecting the DVR

Follow these steps to connect your DVR:

  1. Connect Cameras: Connect your wired security cameras to the BNC video input ports on the back of the DVR. For Wi-Fi cameras, refer to the Lorex Home app for pairing instructions.
  2. Connect Monitor: Connect a monitor to the DVR using an HDMI or VGA cable.
  3. Connect Mouse: Plug the included USB mouse into a USB port on the DVR.
  4. Connect to Network: Connect an Ethernet cable from the DVR's LAN port to your router for network access and remote viewing.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Hard Drive Management

The DVR includes a 2TB hard drive for local storage, eliminating the need for monthly fees. The system is configured to overwrite the oldest footage once the hard drive is full, ensuring continuous recording.
