Setup
Charging the Lantern
The Fenix CL28R is equipped with a built-in 10,000mAh rechargeable battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device.
- Locate the USB-C charging port on the top of the lantern, typically under a protective rubber flap.
- Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the lantern's USB-C port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a power source.
- The charging indicator lights will illuminate to show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment
The CL28R features stepless brightness regulation for precise control over illumination.
- Power On: Press and hold the main power button (usually located near the charging ports) for approximately 0.5 seconds to turn the lantern on.
- Brightness Adjustment: Rotate the brightness control knob (one of the two large knobs on top) clockwise to increase brightness and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The brightness can be adjusted steplessly from low to high.
- Power Off: Press and hold the main power button for approximately 0.5 seconds to turn the lantern off.
Color Temperature Control
Adjust the light's color temperature to suit your needs, from cool white to warm white.
- Rotate the color temperature control knob (the other large knob on top) to adjust the light from cool white to warm white, or vice versa. This adjustment is also stepless.
Red Light Modes
The CL28R includes red light modes for preserving night vision or signaling.
- To activate red light, with the lantern off, press and hold the main power button for approximately 1.2 seconds.
- To switch between Red Constant-On and Red Flash, short press the main power button while in red light mode.
Power Bank Function
The CL28R can serve as a power bank to charge external devices.
- Open the protective rubber flap covering the USB-A and USB-C output ports.
- Connect your device's charging cable to either the USB-A or USB-C output port on the lantern.
- The lantern will begin charging your device.

Mounting Options
The CL28R offers flexible mounting for hands-free operation.
- Magnetic Handle: The built-in magnetic handle allows the lantern to be affixed to most metal surfaces, providing hands-free lighting.
- Tripod Socket: A standard tripod socket is integrated for attaching the lantern to a tripod, enabling precise light positioning and a 160-degree wide beam angle.

Maintenance

- Port Protection: Always ensure the rubber flap covering the USB ports is securely closed when not in use to maintain the IP66 water resistance rating.

- Lantern not turning on:
