5.1 Pre-Installation Checks

5.2 Rough-In Valve Installation

The solid brass rough-in valve is the core of your shower system. Proper installation is critical.

  1. Mount the rough-in valve securely within the wall, ensuring it is level and at the correct depth according to your wall finish.
  2. Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the designated NPT 1/2" inlets on the valve.
  3. Connect the outlet lines for the rainfall shower head, handheld shower head, and tub spout to their respective NPT 1/2" outlets on the valve.
  4. Ensure all connections are watertight using appropriate sealants or plumber's tape.

5.3 Component Assembly

  1. Install the shower arm into the wall connection for the rainfall shower head. Secure the 8-inch rainfall shower head to the shower arm.
  2. Install the tub spout onto its wall connection.
  3. Mount the height-adjustable slide bar to the wall. Connect the handheld shower hose to the valve outlet and the handheld shower head. Place the handheld shower head into the slide bar holder.
  4. Install the trim plate and handle onto the rough-in valve, aligning them correctly.

After installation, turn on the main water supply and check for any leaks. Test all functions to ensure proper operation.

The MONDAWE shower system is designed for intuitive use with a single control handle and a diverter knob.

  1. Water Flow and Temperature Control: Use the main handle to turn the water on/off and adjust the temperature. Rotate the handle left for hotter water and right for colder water. Lift the handle to increase flow.
  2. Function Selection: The small knob on the trim plate is the diverter. Rotate this knob to select between the three functions:
    • Rainfall Shower Head: For a broad, drenching shower experience.
    • Handheld Shower: For targeted rinsing or cleaning. The handheld offers three spray patterns: rainfall, massage, and mixed mode, adjustable directly on the handheld head.
    • Bathtub Spout: For filling the bathtub.

    Note: Only one function can be active at a time.

  3. Handheld Shower Adjustment: The handheld shower head can be adjusted in height along the slide bar by pressing the release button on the holder and sliding it up or down.
