3. Product Features

3.1 APP Control

The RF75A can be intelligently controlled via the 'Radio-C' app, available for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS systems. This feature allows for convenient remote operation and access to advanced settings not directly available on the radio's interface.

3.2 Wider Reception Range

This multi-band receiver supports FM, VHF, AM, Shortwave (SW), and Weather Band (WB) frequencies. It includes NOAA and alert functions, making it suitable for various listening needs and outdoor safety.

3.3 Automatic Scan and Manual Storage

The RF75A allows for automatic scanning of available stations and manual storage. You can save up to 99 stations for each band (FM/VHF/AM/SW), totaling 396 presets for quick access to your preferred channels. The included 9.85 ft wire antenna enhances reception quality.

3.4 Personal Music Player

Beyond radio, the RF75A functions as a personal music player. It features Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless audio streaming, a 3.5mm earphone socket for private listening, and a TF card socket for playing stored audio files. It can also connect to your computer via USB-C to act as an external speaker.

3.5 Outdoor Companion (Flashlight & SOS)

Designed for portability, the RF75A is small and lightweight (10.6 ounces, 2 x 1 x 3.6 inches). It includes a built-in flashlight and an SOS alarm function, making it a valuable tool for outdoor activities and emergency preparedness.

3.6 Display and Controls

The radio features a clear display with six selectable backlight colors, which can change based on the active band (e.g., green for FM, purple for AM, red for WB). Physical buttons provide intuitive control over power, band selection, memory, volume, and time settings.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the Raddy RF75A using the provided USB-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the USB-C port on the top of the radio and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included).

4.2 Installing the APP

To utilize the intelligent remote control features, download the 'Radio-C' app. Scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide or search for 'Radio-C' in your device's app store (iOS App Store, Android Play Store, HarmonyOS AppGallery).

4.3 Connecting the Wire Antenna

For enhanced reception, especially on Shortwave (SW) and Weather Band (WB), connect the included 9.85 ft wire antenna. Clip the alligator clip end of the wire antenna to the tip of the radio's telescopic antenna.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (top right) to turn the radio on or off.

5.2 Band Selection

Press the BAND/MOD button to cycle through available bands: FM, VHF, AM, SW, and WB. The display backlight color may change with each band.

5.3 Tuning

  • Manual Tuning: Use the VOL+/TIME and VOL-/VOL buttons to adjust the frequency incrementally.
  • Automatic Scan: Press and hold the VOL+/TIME or VOL-/VOL buttons to initiate an automatic scan for the next available station.
  • Full Band Scan to Memory: To automatically scan and store all receivable stations within a band, refer to the detailed instructions in the full user manual (PDF link available in Specifications section).

5.4 Memory Storage and Recall

To store a station, tune to the desired frequency, then press and hold the MEMO/SET button. To recall a stored station, briefly press the MEMO/SET button, then use the VOL+/TIME or VOL-/VOL buttons to navigate through presets.

5.5 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the VOL+/TIME (increase) and VOL-/VOL (decrease) buttons.

5.6 Using Flashlight and SOS Alarm

Briefly press the dedicated LIGHT/SOS button on the side to activate the flashlight. Double-tap the LIGHT/SOS button to activate the SOS alarm. Press it again to turn off.

5.7 Using as Music Player

Insert a TF card with audio files into the TF card slot. The radio will automatically switch to music playback mode. Use the control buttons or the app to navigate tracks. Connect earphones to the 3.5mm jack for private listening.

5.8 Using as PC Speaker

Connect the radio to your computer using the USB-C cable. The radio can then function as an external speaker for your computer's audio output.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio's exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: The RF75A uses a built-in Lithium Ion battery. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. While the battery is included, it is not user-replaceable.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the radio in a cool, dry place, preferably in its provided storage bag.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on.
  • Poor Reception/Static: Extend the telescopic antenna fully. If using the wire antenna, ensure it is properly clipped to the telescopic antenna and extended in an open area. Try repositioning the radio.
  • App Connectivity Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the radio and your mobile device. Make sure the 'Radio-C' app is updated to the latest version. Restart both the radio and the app if issues persist.
  • Buttons Unresponsive: Check if the lock function is activated. Press the lock button to deactivate it.
  • Sound Distortion at High Volume: Reduce the volume level. Small speakers may experience distortion at maximum loudness.
