Setup and Initial Assembly

Your SAMEBIKE electric bike arrives 90% pre-assembled. The remaining assembly steps are straightforward and require minimal tools, which are typically included. Please follow these instructions carefully.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Handlebar Installation: Secure the handlebar stem to the fork tube. Ensure the handlebars are centered and tightened firmly.
  2. Pedal Attachment: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Ensure they are fully threaded and tightened.
  3. Front Wheel Installation (if detached): Insert the front wheel into the fork dropouts. Secure it with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts, ensuring the wheel is properly aligned and the brakes do not rub.
  4. Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable riding. Secure with the quick-release lever.
  5. Battery Installation: Ensure the battery is securely seated in its compartment. Refer to the "Removable Battery" section for details.
  6. Pre-Ride Check: Before your first ride, double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness. Verify brake functionality and tire pressure.

Initial Battery Charging:

Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. The 48V 14Ah lithium battery typically takes 4-6 hours for a full charge. Use only the provided charger.

  • Connect the charger to the battery charging port.
  • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  • The charger indicator light will change (e.g., red to green) when charging is complete.
  • The battery is IP54 waterproof, but avoid submerging it in water.

Operating Your Electric Bike

Powering On/Off:

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the central LCD intelligent instrument. To power off, press and hold the same button.

Three Working Modes:

Your SAMEBIKE electric bicycle offers three distinct riding modes to suit various preferences and terrains:

  • Ebike Mode (Full Electric): In this mode, the bike is propelled solely by the motor, without the need for pedaling. This mode is ideal for effortless cruising or when you need a break from pedaling. The 750W high-speed brushless gear motor provides strong drive power.
  • Pedal Assisted Mode (PAS): This mode provides electric assistance as you pedal. The motor amplifies your pedaling effort, making it easier to climb hills or cover longer distances with less fatigue. You can adjust the level of assistance through the display. The bike can achieve up to 62 miles in pure pedal assist mode.
  • Normal Pedaled Mode: In this mode, the electric motor is disengaged, and the bike functions as a traditional bicycle. You rely entirely on your own pedaling power. This mode is suitable for exercise or when the battery is depleted.

Central LCD Intelligent Instrument:

The central LCD display provides real-time information and allows you to control various functions of your e-bike. Key indicators include:

  • Speed Display: Shows your current riding speed.
  • Power Display: Indicates the current battery charge level.
  • Motor Power Display: Shows the power output from the motor.
  • Gear Display: Indicates the current pedal assist level or gear.
  • Total Mileage Display: Tracks the total distance ridden by the bike.
  • Single Mileage Display: Shows the distance covered during the current trip.
  • Fault Display: Alerts you to any system errors.

The bike also features 7 speed gears for mechanical shifting, complementing the electric modes.

Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your SAMEBIKE electric bike. Follow these guidelines to keep your bike in excellent condition.

Battery Care:

  • Charging: Always use the original charger. Do not overcharge the battery; disconnect it once fully charged.
  • Storage: If storing the bike for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-70% and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge it every 1-2 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold), as this can affect its performance and lifespan.
  • Water Resistance: The battery is IP54 waterproof, meaning it is protected from dust and splashing water. Do not submerge the battery or bike in water.

General Bike Maintenance:

  • Tires: Regularly check tire pressure. The 26x3.0 inch fat tires require specific pressure for optimal performance and comfort. Refer to the tire sidewall for recommended pressure.
  • Brakes: Inspect disc brakes regularly for wear on pads and rotors. Ensure brake levers are firm and responsive. Adjust or replace components as needed.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth shifting and prevent premature wear.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Cleaning: Clean your e-bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
