5. Setup and Installation

The Tupavco TP1940 is an unmanaged switch, designed for simple plug-and-play operation. No software installation or configuration is required.

1. Connect Devices: Connect your network devices (e.g., computers, routers, network-attached storage, gaming consoles) to any of the five RJ45 Ethernet ports using standard CAT5E, CAT6, or CAT6A Ethernet cables.
2. Connect Power: Plug the provided power adapter into the DC-IN port on the rear panel of the switch, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Verify Power: The PWR LED on the front panel will illuminate, indicating that the switch is receiving power.

• PWR LED (Power Indicator):
  • On: The switch is powered on.
  • Off: The switch is powered off.
• Port LEDs (Left Indicator per Port):
  • Orange: Data transmission rate is 1 Gbps to 2.5 Gbps.
  • Green: Data transmission rate is 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps.
  • Off: No link or no activity at this speed range.
• Port LEDs (Right Indicator per Port):
  • Green: Data transmission rate is 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps.
  • Off: No link or no activity at this speed range.
