Setup
Wired Connection
To use the keyboard in wired mode, simply connect the provided USB-C cable from the keyboard to an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.
Bluetooth Wireless Connection
The GT61 keyboard supports connection to up to three different devices via Bluetooth. Follow these steps to pair your keyboard:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged or connected via USB-C.
- Turn on the keyboard and switch to Bluetooth mode if applicable (refer to keyboard's physical switch).
- Press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for Device 1, Device 2, or Device 3 respectively. The backlight on the selected key (Q, W, or E) will flash rapidly, indicating it's ready to pair.
- On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select "Surmen GT61" or a similar name from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the backlight on the selected key will stop flashing and remain solid.
- To switch between paired devices, simply press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E briefly.

Operating Instructions
RGB Backlight Control
The GT61 keyboard features dynamic RGB backlighting with multiple effects. Use the following key combinations to control the lighting:
- Fn + P: Toggles backlight on/off.
- Fn + [: Changes backlight mode.
- Fn + ]: Changes backlight color.
- Fn + ;: Decreases backlight brightness.
- Fn + ': Increases backlight brightness.
- Fn + ,: Decreases backlight speed.
- Fn + .: Increases backlight speed.

Hot-Swapping Switches
The hot-swappable PCB allows you to easily change switches without soldering. This feature enables customization of your typing feel and sound.
- Gently remove the keycap using the provided keycap puller.
- Use a switch puller (not included, but recommended for easier removal) to carefully pull the switch straight up from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new 3-pin MX-style switch with the holes on the PCB.
- Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. Ensure the pins are not bent.
- Replace the keycap.

Restoring Default Settings
To restore the keyboard to its factory default settings, press and hold Fn + Spacebar for approximately 3 seconds. The keyboard lights will flash to confirm the reset.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
- Keycaps: Use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Keyboard Body: Wipe the keyboard body with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Switches: For deeper cleaning around switches, use compressed air to remove dust and debris.
Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the keyboard frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator is low. If storing for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode (Fn + Q/W/E flashing).
- Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
- Try forgetting the device on your computer/phone and re-pairing.
- Ensure the keyboard battery is not critically low.
- Backlight not working or stuck:
- Press Fn + P to toggle the backlight.
- Adjust brightness using Fn + ; or Fn + '.
- Perform a factory reset (Fn + Spacebar for 3 seconds).
- Keys not responding:
- Ensure the keyboard is properly connected (wired or Bluetooth).
- If hot-swapped, ensure the switch is fully seated and pins are not bent.
- Try cleaning around the affected switch.
- Unexpected behavior:
- Perform a factory reset (Fn + Spacebar for 3 seconds).
- Ensure no other devices are interfering with the Bluetooth signal.
