Important Safety Instructions

Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components and accessories are present.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat.
  3. Water Tank: Fill the 2.3-liter removable water tank with fresh, cold water. It is recommended to use filtered water to prevent scale buildup. Ensure the tank is properly seated.
  4. Initial Rinse Cycle: Before first use, it is essential to run water through the system without coffee. This primes the pump and cleans internal components.
    • Ensure the water tank is filled.
    • Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.
    • Turn on the machine using the POWER button.
    • Follow the machine's indicators (refer to the control panel image below) to initiate a hot water cycle through the portafilter and steam wand until the water tank is nearly empty.
    • Refill the water tank.
  5. Bean Hopper: Fill the integrated coffee bean grinder hopper with fresh whole coffee beans.

Operating Instructions

1. Grinding Coffee Beans

  1. Ensure the bean hopper is filled.
  2. Insert the portafilter into the grinding cradle.
  3. Adjust the grind size using the dial on the bean hopper. Experiment to find the optimal grind for your beans and desired extraction. A finer grind is generally better for espresso.
  4. Press and hold the GRIND button (located near the portafilter cradle) to dispense freshly ground coffee into the portafilter. Release when the desired amount is reached.
  5. Use the included tamper to firmly press the ground coffee into a level puck.

2. Brewing Espresso

  1. After grinding and tamping, securely attach the portafilter to the brew head by twisting it to the "LOCK" position.
  2. Place your cup(s) on the drip tray, under the portafilter spouts. The machine features an extra-large cup height for various cup sizes.
  3. Select your desired shot size:
    • Press the 1-cup button for a single espresso shot.
    • Press the 2-cup button for a double espresso shot.
  4. The machine will initiate a pre-brewing function, followed by the 15-bar pressure extraction. Monitor the pressure gauge on the control panel for optimal extraction range.
  5. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.

3. Using the Steam Wand for Milk Frothing

  1. Fill the stainless steel milk pitcher with cold milk (approximately 120ml for a full pitcher of foam).
  2. Press the STEAM button on the control panel. Wait for the machine to reach steaming temperature (indicator light will illuminate steadily).
  3. Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk in the pitcher.
  4. Turn the steam knob to release steam. Lower the pitcher slightly to introduce air for frothing, then submerge the wand deeper to heat the milk.
  5. Once the desired texture and temperature are achieved, turn off the steam knob and remove the pitcher.
  6. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

4. Hot Water Dispensing

To dispense hot water for tea or Americanos:

  • Place a cup under the steam wand.
  • Press the HOT WATER button.
  • Turn the steam knob to dispense hot water.
  • Turn the knob back to stop the flow.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your espresso machine.

1. Daily Cleaning

  • Portafilter and Filters: After each use, remove the portafilter and discard the coffee grounds. Rinse the portafilter and filter baskets under hot water.
  • Steam Wand: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth. Purge a small amount of steam to clear any internal milk residue.
  • Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the removable drip tray daily or when the indicator floats up.
  • Brew Head: Use a damp cloth to wipe the brew head screen and gasket.

2. Descaling
