  2. The kettle will maintain the selected temperature for a set period (e.g., 30 minutes).
  3. To deactivate, press the 'Keep Warm' button again or remove the kettle from its base.

5.6 Pouring

Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Always pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.

6.1 Exterior Cleaning

  1. Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
  3. Ensure the power base and electrical connections remain dry.

6.2 Interior Cleaning and Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descaling is essential for optimal performance.

  1. Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  2. Citric Acid Method: Dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid in 1 liter of water. Pour into the kettle and boil. Discard the solution and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Commercial Descaler: Follow the instructions provided with a commercial descaling product suitable for electric kettles.

Note: Always rinse the kettle thoroughly after descaling to remove any residual cleaning agents.
