4.2 Wireless Remote Sensor
The remote sensor measures outdoor temperature and humidity and transmits data wirelessly to the main unit. It has a small LED indicator and a channel switch inside the battery compartment.
5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Main Unit
The main unit can be powered by either AAA batteries or an AC power adapter via the USB cable.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.
- AC Power (Optional): Connect the provided USB cable to the DC 5.0V port on the side of the main unit and plug the other end into a 5V, 1000mA USB power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB port.
Note: Using AC power will keep the backlight continuously on. When powered by batteries only, the backlight will turn off after a few seconds to conserve power and can be activated by pressing the Light/Snooze button.
5.2 Powering the Remote Sensor
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote sensor.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Inside the battery compartment, select a channel (1, 2, or 3) using the small switch. If using only one sensor, select channel 1.
- Close the cover. The sensor will immediately begin transmitting data.
5.3 Pairing the Remote Sensor
After powering both units, the main unit will automatically search for and connect to the remote sensor. This may take a few minutes. Ensure the sensor is within range (up to 80 meters line-of-sight) of the main unit.
- If the outdoor readings do not appear, press and hold the CH button on the main unit for 3 seconds to initiate a manual search for the sensor.
- To connect additional sensors (up to 3 total), set each sensor to a different channel (1, 2, or 3) before powering them on. The main unit will display data for each connected sensor, which can be cycled using the CH button.
6. Operating Instructions

The device displays a weather forecast based on changes in atmospheric pressure. The forecast icons include:
- Sunny: Clear skies expected.
- Variable Cloudiness: Mixed sun and clouds.
- Cloudy: Overcast conditions.
- Rain: Precipitation expected.
Note: The weather forecast is an estimation and may not always be 100% accurate. It is based on internal barometric pressure readings and is not connected to external weather services.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. No AC power. | Check battery polarity, replace batteries, or connect to AC power. |
| Outdoor readings not displayed or inaccurate. | Remote sensor batteries are dead. Sensor out of range. Interference. Incorrect channel. | Replace sensor batteries. Move sensor closer to main unit. Avoid placing near electronic devices. Press and hold CH button to re-sync. Ensure sensor channel matches selected channel on main unit. |
| Alarm does not sound. | Alarm is not activated. Alarm volume is too low (if adjustable, though not specified here). | Ensure the alarm icon is displayed on the screen. Check alarm settings. |
| Weather forecast seems incorrect. | Forecast is based on local barometric pressure changes, not external data. | This is normal. The device provides an estimation based on internal readings. |
