Installation Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation of your cold water dispenser faucet kit.
- Remove the compression nut, ferrule, locknut, friction washer, and base washer from the faucet.
- Seat O-ring in base groove. If desired, a thin bead of silicone sealant can be applied to the O-ring for added sealing power. Do not use Plumber's Putty.
- Center the faucet in the mounting hole and fasten with base washer, friction ring, and mounting nut. Do not overtighten.
- Slide the 1/4" compression nut and ferrule over the supply tubing, insert the tube into the mounting nipple, and tighten the compression nut on the mounting nipple. Do not overtighten.
- Fully open the handle on the pure water faucet and then turn on the water supply. Allow the water to run to rinse any debris from the system.
- Check for leaks, especially at the water supply attachments.

Water Filter Unit Installation
The F400 in-line filter unit should be installed between your water supply and the dispenser faucet.
- Securely fix the filter housing onto the cabinet wall using the screw-mounted headworks.
- Use the 3/8" insert fittings for copper or rigid plastic tubing.
- Ensure proper connection to prevent leaks, utilizing the triple seals in the polypropylene housing.

Operating Instructions
Your Westbrass cold water dispenser faucet provides filtered water on demand.
- To dispense cold filtered water, simply move the single lever handle to the open position.
- The F400 in-line filter unit uses a carbon block medium to improve the taste of your tap water.
- The faucet features a 1/4-turn ceramic disc cartridge for smooth operation.
Maintenance
Filter Replacement
For optimal filtration results, the F400R filter cartridge should be replaced every 3 to 6 months or after 528 gallons (2000 liters) of use.
- Switch off the water supply to the filter unit.
- Place a small bowl under the filter housing sump to catch any residual water.
- Turn the filter house nut clockwise a quarter turn to allow the filter housing sump to drop down from the filter housing head.
- Once the sump is removed, unscrew the filter housing nut from the sump and tip any water out of the sump into the bowl or sink.
- Remove the old filter by pulling the filter downward from the sump.
- Dispose of the old filter in normal household waste.
- Fit the new filter into the filter housing sump. Ensure not to disturb any seals and make sure they are in place before the next step.
- Reassemble the filter housing and turn on the water supply, checking for leaks.

Cleaning Instructions
To maintain the finish of your Westbrass product:
- Do not use cleaners containing harsh chemicals, abrasives, or acids (e.g., ammonia, bleach, grease-cutters, or other strong detergents). These can damage the protective coating and the finish itself.
- Use only plain warm water and a mild soap on a soft cloth or sponge.
- Avoid using a sponge with a scouring pad.
- Do not rub hard to remove spots.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Westbrass C0136-50 kit, consider the following common solutions:
- Low Water Flow: Check if the water supply valve is fully open. If the filter has been in use for an extended period, it may be clogged and require replacement.
- Leaks: Ensure all connections are securely tightened. Do not overtighten. Check O-rings and seals for proper seating and damage.
- Poor Water Taste: If the filtered water taste deteriorates, it is likely time to replace the filter cartridge.
