Einhell AQUINNA 18/30 F LED Cordless Garden Pump - Instruction Manual

Model: 4180430 | Brand: Einhell

Introduction

The Einhell AQUINNA 18/30 F LED cordless garden pump is a powerful device designed for water supply in gardens or homes, operating independently of a mains connection. It is an integral part of the flexible Power X-Change system, allowing for versatile combination with other Einhell batteries, chargers, and tools. This pump utilizes an 18 V battery and features 'Double Runtime' technology with two integrated battery slots for extended operation. If one battery depletes, the second automatically takes over. The charge level of both batteries is continuously displayed via an LED indicator.

The pump offers two operational modes: BOOST mode for maximum flow and ECO mode for optimized battery life at reduced pressure. It can achieve a flow rate of up to 3,000 liters per hour, a maximum delivery height of 28 meters (2.8 bar pressure), and can draw water from a maximum depth of 6 meters. For user convenience, it includes a large water filling cap for easy priming and a drain plug for simple emptying, crucial for frost protection during winter. A transparent pre-filter protects against impurities, with its clear cover allowing for easy monitoring of water levels and filter cleanliness. A non-return valve prevents water reflux, and overload protection automatically shuts down the pump to prevent damage from overheating. The pump is equipped with a central handle for easy transport and mounting holes for fixed installations. It features two robust metal threaded connections. Please note that Power X-Change batteries and charger are sold separately.

Setup Instructions

1. Connecting Hoses

Connect the suction hose to the pump's inlet. Ensure a secure, airtight connection to prevent air from entering the system, which can affect pump performance. Use the provided metal threaded connections for durability.

2. Priming the Pump

Before first use, or after the pump has been emptied, it must be primed. Open the large water filling cap and pour water into the pump until it is full. The transparent pre-filter cover allows you to monitor the water level. Close the cap securely after filling.

3. Inserting Batteries

The pump requires two 18V Power X-Change batteries for operation. Open the battery compartment cover and insert the batteries into the two available slots. Ensure they click into place. Close the cover to protect the batteries from splashes.

4. Positioning the Pump

Place the pump on a stable, level surface near your water source. The pump can draw water from a maximum depth of 6 meters. For permanent installations, use the integrated mounting holes to secure the pump.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Mode Selection

Once batteries are inserted and the pump is primed, press the 'Power On' button. The LED indicators will show the battery charge level. Select your desired operating mode: ECO mode for optimal battery life and reduced pressure, or BOOST mode for maximum flow and pressure.

2. Monitoring Battery and Water Levels

The LED indicators on the pump continuously display the charge level of both batteries. The transparent cover of the pre-filter allows you to visually check the water level inside the pump and the cleanliness of the filter at any time.

3. Automatic Battery Switching

Thanks to the 'Double Runtime' technology, if one battery becomes discharged during operation, the pump will automatically switch to the second battery, ensuring uninterrupted water supply.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Pre-Filter

Regularly check the transparent pre-filter cover for impurities. If the filter appears dirty, unscrew the cover, remove the filter basket, and clean it thoroughly under running water. Reinsert the clean filter and secure the cover.

2. Frost Protection (Draining)

To protect the pump from frost damage during winter or prolonged periods of non-use, it is essential to drain all water. Locate the drain plug on the underside of the pump, unscrew it, and allow all water to exit. Re-secure the plug once drained.
