5. Operating Instructions
The COWSAR Ice Cream Maker offers four operating modes: Ice Cream, Yogurt, Refrigerated, and Stirring. Follow these steps for general operation:
- Prepare Ingredients: Mix your desired ice cream or yogurt ingredients according to your recipe. Ensure ingredients are chilled for best results.
- Pour Ingredients: Open the ingredient spout on the lid and carefully pour the prepared mixture into the stainless steel bowl. Do not overfill; the mixture should not exceed 2/3 of the bowl's capacity to allow for expansion.
- Select Mode: Press the 'POWER' button to turn on the machine. Use the 'MENU' button to cycle through the available modes (Ice Cream, Yogurt, Refrigerated, Stirring). The default time for Ice Cream mode is 60 minutes.
- Adjust Time (if needed): For Ice Cream mode, you can adjust the time using the '+' and '-' buttons. For Yogurt mode, the time can be set between 4 to 24 hours.
- Start Operation: Press the 'START/PAUSE' button to begin the selected mode. The machine will start churning and cooling (or heating for yogurt).
- Monitor Progress: You can observe the consistency through the transparent lid. The machine will automatically stop when the timer runs out.
- Keep Cool Function: After the ice cream is made, the machine will automatically enter a 'Keep Cool' mode for 1 hour to prevent melting.
- Serve: Once complete, unlock the lid and remove the mixing paddle. Use the provided scraper to scoop out the ice cream into serving dishes.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ice cream maker, try these common troubleshooting steps:
- Machine Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the lid is properly locked in place.
- Ingredients Not Freezing: Verify that the machine is set to the 'Ice Cream' mode and the timer is active. Ensure ingredients were pre-chilled (though not strictly necessary, it can improve results).
- Loud Noise During Operation: Some noise is normal due to the compressor and churning. If the noise is excessive or unusual, ensure the mixing paddle and bowl are correctly installed.
- Ice Cream Too Soft/Hard: Adjust the churning time. Shorter times result in softer ice cream, longer times in harder consistency.
