4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation (Battery Not Included)

  1. Ensure the impact wrench is switched off and the forward/reverse lock switch is in the middle (locked) position.
  2. Align a compatible 18V Makita-style lithium-ion battery (e.g., BL1830, BL1840, BL1850, BL1860B) with the battery slot at the base of the tool.
  3. Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

4.2 Attaching Sockets

The impact wrench features a 1/2" hog ring anvil for easy socket changes.

  1. Select the appropriate 1/2" drive socket for your application.
  2. Push the socket firmly onto the 1/2" square driver until it is securely seated by the hog ring.
  3. To remove, simply pull the socket off the driver.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Forward/Reverse Operation

  • To select forward rotation (for tightening), push the forward/reverse button to the left.
  • To select reverse rotation (for loosening), push the forward/reverse button to the right.
  • To engage the safety lock (preventing accidental startup), position the button in the middle. The trigger will be locked.

5.2 Variable Speed Control and 3-Speed Switch

  • The tool features a variable speed trigger. Pressing the trigger lightly results in slower speeds, while pressing it further increases the speed. Releasing the trigger stops the tool.
  • A 3-speed switch (gear selector button) located on the bottom of the wrench allows you to select maximum RPM settings:
    • HI: 1-2200 RPM (High Speed)
    • MID: 1-1800 RPM (Medium Speed)
    • LO: 1-1500 RPM (Low Speed)
  • Use the Function Switching Key on the intelligent panel to select between 'Large Power', 'Small Power', and 'Loose Self-Stop' modes for specific applications.

5.3 Using the LED Work Light

The integrated LED light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit work areas.
