2.2 App Download and Account Creation

To begin, download the Canny Cam app from your device's app store. The app is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

1. Search for "Canny Cam" in your app store.
2. Download and install the app.
3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.

2.3 Camera Installation

The VIMTAG camera offers flexible installation options: freestanding, wall-mounted, or ceiling-mounted.

1. Power On: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided adapter. The indicator light will turn on.
2. Add Device: In the Canny Cam app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
3. Wi-Fi Connection: Select your 2.4GHz or 5G Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
4. Pairing: Follow the app's instructions to scan the QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens, or use sound pairing if prompted.
5. Placement: Place the camera on a flat surface, or use the included mounting accessories to secure it to a wall or ceiling. Ensure a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Live View and Pan-Tilt Control

Once connected, access the live feed through the Canny Cam app. Use the on-screen controls to pan (horizontal) and tilt (vertical) the camera lens for a 360° view of your space.

3.2 Two-Way Audio

The camera features a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing for two-way communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak, and listen through the camera's speaker.

3.3 Motion Tracking and AI Detection

Enable smart motion tracking and human detection in the app settings. The camera will automatically track detected movement and send instant notifications to your phone.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your VIMTAG camera.

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Software Updates: Keep the Canny Cam app updated to the latest version to receive new features and security enhancements. The app will typically notify you of available updates.
• Placement: Ensure the camera is placed in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VIMTAG camera, refer to the following common solutions:

Problem	Possible Solution
Camera offline/Cannot connect to Wi-Fi	Ensure the camera is powered on and within range of your Wi-Fi router. Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct. Check if your router supports 2.4GHz or 5G Wi-Fi and that the camera is connected to the correct band. Restart the camera and your Wi-Fi router. If using 5G Wi-Fi, ensure your router's 5G channel is not too high (some devices prefer lower channels).
No motion detection alerts	Check the motion detection settings in the Canny Cam app to ensure it's enabled. Adjust the detection sensitivity (refer to app settings). Ensure the camera's view is not obstructed. Figure 5.1: Adjust sensitivity settings to reduce false alarms.
Two-way audio not working	Ensure your phone's microphone is enabled for the Canny Cam app. Check the volume settings on your phone and in the app. Ensure there is no physical obstruction to the camera's microphone or speaker.
SD card not recording	Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly. Format the SD card through the app settings. Check if the SD card is damaged or full. Ensure continuous recording or event recording is enabled in the app.
