Product Overview
Main Unit (Indoor Display)
The main unit features a 7-inch (18 cm) color LED display with 3 levels of backlight brightness. It displays all important indoor and outdoor weather data, time, and alarm settings.

5-in-1 Outdoor Sensor
The outdoor sensor integrates multiple measurement components into a single unit for comprehensive outdoor data collection. It is designed for outdoor use with IPX4 splash protection and includes a solar panel to extend battery life.

Setup Guide
1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Keep packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Battery Installation
Main Unit:
The main unit requires 2 x 1.5V AA backup batteries (not included) in addition to the power adapter.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Outdoor Sensor:
The outdoor sensor requires 3 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included). The integrated solar panel helps prolong battery life.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the outdoor sensor.
- Insert 3 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
3. Outdoor Sensor Placement
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate readings.
- Choose an open location, free from obstructions (trees, buildings) that could block wind or rain.
- Ensure the sensor is mounted securely using the provided hardware.
- Use the integrated bubble level to ensure the sensor is perfectly horizontal for accurate rain and wind measurements.
- Orient the wind direction arrow (marked "N" for North) correctly.
- The sensor has a transmission range of up to 100 meters in open areas. Consider this distance when choosing a location relative to the main unit.
- While the sensor has a solar panel, avoid placing it in areas of constant shade if possible, to maximize battery life.

4. Powering On and Synchronization
- Plug the power adapter into the main unit and then into a power outlet.
- The main unit will power on and begin searching for the outdoor sensor.
- The outdoor sensor will automatically transmit data to the main unit. This may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range.
- Once connected, outdoor data (temperature, humidity, wind, rain) will appear on the main unit's display.
- The DCF atomic clock synchronization will automatically set the time. This process can take several hours depending on your location and signal strength. Be patient if the time doesn't set immediately.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the main unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Regularly check the rain collector funnel on the outdoor sensor for debris (leaves, dirt) and clean if necessary to ensure accurate rainfall measurement.
Battery Replacement
Replace batteries in both units when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time with new ones of the same type.
Sensor Calibration (Advanced)
While the sensor is factory calibrated, minor adjustments might be possible for certain parameters. Refer to the detailed manual (if provided by manufacturer) or contact support for advanced calibration procedures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor data displayed. | Outdoor sensor out of range or batteries low/dead. | Move main unit closer to sensor. Replace sensor batteries. Press CHANNEL button on main unit to re-establish connection. |
| Inaccurate wind speed/direction. | Sensor not level or obstructed. | Check sensor mounting for levelness using the bubble level. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the wind cups or vane. |
| Inaccurate rainfall. | Rain collector blocked. | Check and clean the rain collector funnel for debris. |
| Time not synchronizing (DCF). | Weak signal or interference. | Ensure the main unit is not near electronic devices that cause interference. Try moving the main unit to a different location. Allow several hours for synchronization. |
| Display is dim or off. | Power adapter issue or low backup batteries. | Check power adapter connection. Replace backup batteries. Adjust backlight brightness using the SETTINGS/BRIGHTNESS button. |
| Unit freezes or behaves erratically. | Temporary software glitch. | Remove batteries from both units and unplug the main unit. Wait a few minutes, then reinsert batteries and plug in the main unit to perform a soft reset. |
