4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Connecting to a Device

The Acouto P17 Pro offers flexible connectivity options for various devices. Ensure the monitor is placed on a stable surface or securely mounted before connecting.

4.1.1. USB Type-C Connection (Single Cable)

For devices supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Power Delivery, a single USB Type-C cable can transmit both video signal and power.

  1. Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C to Type-C cable to one of the monitor's USB Type-C ports.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB Type-C port on your laptop, smartphone, or other device.

Note: Your device's USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output. If the monitor does not power on or displays a low power warning, connect the included AC adapter to the monitor's power input using a USB Type-C cable.

4.1.2. HDMI Connection

For devices with an HDMI output, use the Mini-HDMI port on the monitor.

  1. Connect one end of the provided Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable to the monitor's Mini-HDMI port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI output port on your device (e.g., game console, PC).
  3. Connect the monitor to a power source using one of the USB Type-C cables and the included AC adapter.

4.2. Using the Smart Case/Stand

The included smart case serves as both protection and a versatile stand for your monitor.

  • Fold the smart case into a triangular shape to create a stable stand.
  • Position the monitor in the stand for either landscape or portrait orientation, depending on your needs.

4.3. VESA Mounting

The monitor is compatible with VESA mounting standards, allowing for alternative installation options.

  • Locate the two M4 VESA mounting holes on the back of the monitor.
  • Attach the monitor to a compatible VESA wall mount bracket or monitor arm (sold separately) using appropriate M4 screws.

Caution: Ensure the mounting solution can safely support the weight of the monitor. Use only M4 screws of appropriate length to avoid damaging internal components.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

To power on the monitor, press and hold the power button located on the side until the screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

5.2. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

7.1. No Signal / Black Screen

  • Ensure Sufficient Power: Connect the included AC adapter to the monitor's power input, especially if your device cannot provide enough power via USB-C.
  • Check Device Display Settings: On your computer or smartphone, ensure the external monitor is detected and enabled in the display settings. Try extending or duplicating the display.
  • Try Different Cables/Ports: If possible, test with different cables or try connecting to another port on your device to rule out faulty components.
